There’s nothing false about it. Fatality rate for 50 and below is a paltry 0.2%, let alone the infection rate is very low as well. The incubation period is long and symptoms for most are mild, so it’s here to stay as it’s easily spreadable. I dont understand your position!

The relevant facts are, one, only much older people have to worry about it, and two, the cure already exists in washing yourself. This common flu is here to stay, the absolute risk to vast majority of people is extremely insignificant.

If anything it would be more desirable for body temp to increase. Makes it harder for Viruses and pathogens to hurt us. Maybe that’s why people are getting sick more often it seems.

My biggest gripe is how ridiculous bluetooth connection is on iPhones. Apple for some dumb reason decided to remove headphone jack before making Bluetooth connections easy and convenient. How does this make any sense? It still is bad - long pressing bluetooth button still takes multiple steps and is buggy (doesn't register, or long pressing leads to mistakenly pressing on the following pop up screen listing the available connections).

I agree. I think the normal, well beaten path of simply chasing money and making friends is the best way to be both happy and succesful.

Veganism has no immediate effect - it takes a couple 1000 other people to do likewise for it to cause a change. It’s like voting - 1 persons vote changes nothing until several others do.

I so happen to disagree, but well reasoned point. However, please abstain from using theory in that context. What you mean is a conjecture, or hypothesis. Anything substantiated by evidence is in fact a theory. Those that are not are hypotheses. In fact, theories work in practice. That’s why they are theories - quantum theory, germ theory, general and special relativity theory. Etc..

Where are the examples? I skimmed the entire article and only found the veins example. What language in particular is the author even referring to? My own set of examples are the hand clapping emoji in between every word, “Im here for it” when you like something, the ubiquitous hold my beer meme in so many YT comments, “stanning”, and of course how could you forget using “toxic” or “cancer” for anything you vehemently disagree with.

The working definition of a "TV show" is a series with regular installments/showings overtime, or at least many shorter length shows. A "movie" is the opposite, with just one production film. This is flexible, of course, as a movie can have later installments, but it is not its primary purpose. There are many "movies" that never make it to the Cinemas because of bad production value, ie bad movies!

Your definition would call Netflix's recent film "Bright" a show, which of course it is not. Cannes is being ridiculous.

I think your point about offering what your competitors are not is spot on: a hub that facilitates community and study, events with widely known authors and public figures, and so forth. Except for the fact that you actually don't need any sort of energy infrastructure whatsoever with electricity. All you need will be a solar panel in the near future, resulting in more homes with heat and lights, more people with access to inexpensive transportation, and a more equitable share of well being. Third world countries stand to benefit the most from electrification.

I agree with your high sentiments regarding Elon Musk (however technology is in fact causing a huge toll, see climate change. In fact the very reason why we look at Elon the way we do is because technology's "price" as you put it is in fact not "fairly low".), but your central premise, essentially that human behavior is what's most responsible, not the tool (ie "guns dont kill people, people kill people") misses the the realization that if we can't critique the tool, we can't change it.

If we are tech enthusiasts, the discussion shouldn't be about what the causal effect is (because every problem can be reduced to human nature, and how useful is it to stop there?) but rather the discussion should be how we can improve the world wide web, and its empowerment of humanity and its amplification of our varied opinions, so as to better human interactions.

To give an analogy, to stop at human nature would be to, I admit, correctly blame humans for car accidents, but, and here's my point, it would fail to make any further vehicle improvements (ie self driving vehicles) to reduce the amount of people dying each year from car accidents. Yes, humanity is at fault, but are we going to change humanity to fit cars, or change cars to fit humanity?

Additionally, there are in fact massive amount of quality data, ie scientific journals, that are behind massive paywalls/"academia walls" and not in anyway freely available. This is the "data" that matters most, not IMDB or piratebay to rip movies and applications illegally.
