As much as they would like for it to be so, Russia is not North Korea. The result of all these sanctions would be a Russia China alliance. An opening for China to invade Taiwan, founding of competing and fragmented global institutions, alternatives to SWIFT, because nations are watching and no one likes to be vurnerable.

Don't get me wrong, I admire the swiss. But attributing a nations success to higher moral standards of individual people is crazy. The swiss might exhibit admirable qualities worth emulating but those qualities might as well be the result of a rich and stable environment the country had over the generations. I sense a strong dislike for Vinod Khosla the person himself in almost all the responses irrespective of his actions. Are a few incidents like the martin's beach and some statistics which he pulls without references the only reason for it. We have used Wagtail on a recent project of ours. We were looking for something lean which would allow us to define our pages easily and offer a clean interface to upload content to those pages. Wagtail fit this requirement perfectly. We faced some issues when upgrading to newer versions but they were expected on 0.x releases.

We used to do nginx + gunicorn for our rest services, it was not responding well beyond a point (for a given ec2 instance). We replaced that with nginx + lua (openresty module), we saw almost 10x increase in response times. Would it make sense for us to invest in something like this and hope to see a significant performance gain? Lowering response times is not a big deal but being able to get those same response times on a lower priced instance would definitely help. We have no real C++ skills in the team but we could learn or hire.
