Remember when Net Nuetrality was the priority of hackernews and slashdot and basically all people in tech. Now it's a "leftist policy". We live in crazy times.

Overton window has definitely shifted to the right. Beign a normal person who values science is now considered "leftist". Its nuts.

That is "duplicate line down" -- I want "duplicate line up" which copies the current line to the line above the cursor. My open request been sitting in jetbrains "ignore it" for many many years.

After 10 years I still have no shortcut key to "duplicate line up" which was an eclipse feature that I loved.

So I also hate jetbrains, give me my shortcut get guys!!

I switched to Protonmail a month ago. It is patently inferior to gmail. Every day I get annoyed by some weakness in the UI that google had apparently just always solved without me ever having to think about it. For example, reading long email chains in the proton UI is horrific. I don't know what google did that made it natural to read and proton does so badly, but it is painful to read these long chains of emails. Another example is log emails from my servers are getting grouped together by Proton. Gmail had sepearated the logs into separate emails in a very natural way. These small annoyances add up and I'm not having a fun time right now with proton.

I use proton, but it is not better than gmail. The user interface is explicitly inferior, and that is the main thing I care about.

This will be the ONLY social media my kids are allowed to use.

It's a great browser, but I always forget the default settings are super stupid. Myself and power users all have it customized to the hilt.

It takes some serious work to get a new new FireFox install working nicely.

There are few UI's that I hate more in the world than SourceTree. That pile of junk has cost me so many hours of life trying to support the developers in fixing a thousand weird issues.
