Well, personally I use Firefox. Although I do have a suspition that Google has found some way of keeping Firefox experience on mobile inferior in some way. Just speculating.

Would Google also be able to negatively influence such an app if the app was a PWA? Publishing PWA on Play Store might still lead to the same outcome, but what if it is just an independent PWA and is "installed" through the phone's browser? Of course you would loose some discoverability though, but are there other disadvantages? (provided the app is even feasible as a PWA)

Setting browser.compactmode.show to true in about:config allows for setting density to compact again. But unfortunately the padding around bookmark entries remains huge.

i guess there's always someone on the other side of the globe. So a reasonable time for where the majority of your audience is is the best. Unless you wanna go all out and make it timezones dependent.

When sleep is a good way to boost the defences against infections [0], motivating people to stay up until midnight might not be the best idea. Perhaps change the update time to an earlier hour.

Zinc is very important in the diet and its deficiency is very common. Our food is already becoming scarce in zinc, potentially needing supplements from mined minerals. But these are not projected to last very long either [1]. This doesn't make me very excited for using it for batteries at all.

Many times if GIF is converted to video it will ruin the pixel art, or in some cases even produce bigger file [1]. I get the efficiency argument for conversion to video, but in some cases it is a no-go. There should always be an option to not convert to video.

I am missing the point why this bookmarklet is needed. You right click the preview image that google gives and either 'Open Image in new tab' or 'Copy image address', or even 'Save Image'. Actually Googles change makes it easier to handle images, since you get directly the original in the preview view, instead of some cached version... what am I missing?

Do I want to drink a beer with Eich? Looking at his donation record - no. Will his contribution improve the Mozilla product? Looking at his history as a technologist with Mozilla and JavaScript - probably yes.

Do I want to drink a beer with Rice? Looking at her career history - no. Will her contribution improve Dropbox? Looking at her career history - can't imagine any positive effect, probably negative, especially in the privacy area.

Definitely going to try some Dropbox alternatives now.

If it was just a block of text, I would probably skip over most of it, but this running line thing is a cool idea to try and make the reader read every sentence. Not knowing how long the actual text is also helps a lot. There should be some browser plugin which does this to texts!
