I don't recall them to being too thrilled with people messing with their device at the beginning; it seemed that they embraced it after the fact to seem supportive of the community unlike other corporations.

I believe they are aiming to be the framework for other apps to build upon; I think that was their original statement--Singly I think would be their user friendly tool on top of the Locker they are working on.

This is true for me--I have felt more encouraged to contribute to discussions now that the votes are hidden as opposed to before; As long as the higher voted comments bubble up to the top I don't see a reason to see the votes count with a comment.

I think they already blew this one.

They refused to work with "The Open Document Foundation" and made the key leaders step down from their community board so where exactly does this leave them?

Most distros have already moved or are moving to Libre Office.

Is the name recognition of OpenOffice.org all that's left?
