Typest is amazing, Claude Code + Opus 4.8 knows how to use it, but I found that Claude by default is crap at designing even a reasonably formatted PDF. E.g. Claude sets the line height to be so small, all the lines are squished together, and a 1-pager PDF is half blank.

This is one Chrome Extension I can't live without.

I've been using this ever since Manifest v3 killed Hacker News Extension Suite (HNES). HN comment threads are getting longer over time. Top links often have 1k+ comments now. The AI summary saves me a ton of time. I also use the extension with the new sorting function, sorting frontpage links by points, so I can focus on what's important.

What is the service you used?

Makes sense, but how about Dropbox / iCloud Drive as alternatives? PDFs / images are somewhat small (at least relative to videos). I just stuff all my PDFs in Dropbox. I'm almost completely paperless and I don't seem to accumulate that many scanned docs to fill up even the free tier storage space.

Are you talking about iCloud Drive? As far as I can tell, files in there are just normal files, so Live Text works. You can easily put a screenshot / pdf in there and see.

Genuine question: for simple needs, why use this or DevonThink over macOS' built-in features? macOS now does OCR (Live Text), has tagging, and spotlight search is fast (but sometimes presents too many results to be useful). I even stopped splitting PDFs into separate documents and organizing them into folders. I just search.

It's hallucination if you hate it, and creativity if you like it.

Interesting idea. I think it needs some finetuning to find songs that are similar but not covers. For well-covered songs like Bohemian Rhapsody, this is more like a cover-finder.

This. A summary spreadsheet isn't so complex, but the detailed ledger of past and present stakeholders, securities, transactions, etc. get very very long. Spreadsheets don't scale after hundreds of securities are issued > converted > transfer > repurchased.
