This is both funny and sad. The author’s difficulties were almost certainly caused by their mental illness.

As an aside, as a Canadian it’s always amazing reading about American CS grads with no practical skills start at a salary higher than I will likely ever have. What a difference a few kilometres make.

A family is visiting the grandmother before her medically assisted death due to extreme chronic pain. Should the children be explained to what’s going on before they say goodbye? If so, is a book made for children possibly a helpful way to approach this topic?

The “kids can’t learn about X” arguments never seem fully thought out to me, more like reactions to triggering words. Sex ed, gay people, euthanasia, etc.

I don’t understand why he presents this as a mystery. They both adhere to this App Store rule:

“If your app includes user-generated content from a web-based service, it may display incidental mature “NSFW” content, provided that the content is hidden by default and only displayed when the user turns it on via your website.“

Details: The engine I'm using here is Midjourney. Because there's no ability for consistency of characters (plus general engine limitations), I've found it works great for backgrounds. Then, characters can be quickly doodled over top.
