I'm active in the SF tech scene - advising, mentoring, and consulting with startups. I've given entrepreneurship talks around the world and love travel.

I also design serious games through my studio Leveraged Play. The games help organizations explore the future and explain complex issues. Past clients have included the United Nations, World Economic Forum, Mozilla, and more.

I have plenty of side-projects, love coding, and am an indie game designer - I publish my games at DiegeticGames.com

I love this framing!

I've got a "forever project" I'm working on (a web based storytelling game platform) and it's been an absolute joy to have something I can keep extending and tweaking.

Sometimes my motivation is to enable a new type of game I'm designing and sometimes it's just to make the platform better.

One thing that I've found super helpful is having a huge diversity of TODOs. If I'm in the mood to code some logic - great, if I'm feeling like tweaking the visuals - cool, if I'm excited about doing game design and working on a draft – that's fine too. There's always something to chip away at that suits my mood and energy.

I'm on the team, so obviously biased, but I absolutely love using Remotion. It's enabled us to move super quickly – make fast decisions, get unblocked, bat around ideas.

We're an all-remote company and I've only met the founders in person, but I still feel super close to my other teammates because we have plenty of catchup calls.

They also have the most dev friendly fees I've seen. You're only obligated to pay credit card fees, beyond that is a voluntary percent of sales you can give to Itch (set at 10% by default.

An oft overlooked point of MVP / lean methodology is that companies should try to minimize time through the build -> measure -> learn loop. Spending too much time on the build phase (to get impecable design) can delay critical learning.
