To be clear I was saying 105k for senior, and more than that for staff/principal.
As to day rates I think it's rather about companies willing to pay a bit more to get better contractors rather than any specific stack.
London day rates I've seen for contractors are more like 700 - 900/day on average at places that pay a bit better and 1000+ for specialists. And base salaries I've seen advertised for senior developers at funded startups (e.g. Wagestream, Truelayer) are more like 105k now (more for higher levelings - i.e. Principal/Staff).

A former Obama campaign official is claiming that Facebook knowingly allowed them to mine massive amounts of Facebook data — more than they would’ve allowed someone else to do — because they were supportive of the campaign.
In a Sunday tweet thread, Carol Davidsen, former director of integration and media analytics for Obama for America, said the 2012 campaign led Facebook to “suck out the whole social graph” and target potential voters. They would then use that data to do things like append their email lists.
When Facebook found out what they were doing, they were “surprised,” she said. But she also claimed they didn’t stop them once they found out:

It can be politically incorrect to state that some people are more physically attractive than others, but in the “is beauty objective” debate, this seems to be at least a sign that beauty is not totally subjective?
Interesting tidbits: they advise to never carry cellphones in your pocket, and that cell phones can lead to increased risk for brain cancer, low sperm count, headaches, impaired memory.

Surprisingly a full 2.6% of Stack Overflow visitors identify as non male/female, of which a 0.5% transgender. Both numbers much higher than those for the general population.

If they're manipulating HN they're not very good at it. Lately I'm seeing smear pieces against them appear on the front page on almost a daily basis and the tone in these threads is overwhelmingly toxic rather than positive.
