Education Revolution

1pts1

I recently quit Facebook and felt like I'm free(with my time). It is interesting to note that after you order "deletion" your account will remain for 14 days and you could come back. It is like 2 weeks notice period (before quitting the job) which is a standard in united states. I'd still keep using WhatsApp as long as it stays utilitarian and lets me communicate with my people.

It entirely depends on yourself and the type of work you can get. If you're an extroverted type, working in consulting may be a good experience. If you're highly creative but introverted type, you may not enjoy dealing with your client as much. If you're service oriented, you'd enjoy working with a client. If you're product oriented, you may prefer working on purely software/tech side of things!

One solution to this problem is making "flipped classroom" a mandatory at all the schools.i.e. students go thru lectures/videos at home and do homework collaboratively in the Classroom. The Real world is more collaborative compared to our schools. Flipped Classroom is proven to increase scores as well. Question: What efforts are you willing to put in making this happen?

Key question is WHY did you take up this job in the first place? Do you really believe in the mission of this company or just the CTO title and a lucrative pay attracted you here. If you truly believe in the mission of the company, you're doing the right thing by taking all crap and making progress towards end goals. You are probably not coding because your time is better spent doing what you're doing now. Will you make more difference to the world if you went back to the coding role?

I think it is about priorities. If loading speed is not a priority for the client, we need to know what is their priority? Try to address the priority first and then focus on making it faster.

If the application is built for large number of customers, one needs to make it fast no matter what!
