They also don’t seem to be taking into consideration the fact that answers to those tests may already be present in the training data.

It would be cool if other non-Silicon Valley founders from the HN community share their thoughts on this.
No, concrete searches should work, and will work better once more people contribute their mental associations. Since this is fairly new, there aren't many yet. But it should become more useful over time.
