It has many advantages but also serious issues. On the latest Ubuntu, I started downloading a game from the App Store during a background OS update and it locked up so bad I had to run the terminal with a hot key to salvage it. That’s not a real desktop experience.

They introduced a limit to 1000 photos, I deleted almost everything, then somehow they didn’t go through with the limitation, only warning me about nearing 1000 photos. Anyone knows what exactly happened?

Not sure the App Store field should autofocus. Mac menus draw the frame first, then after a delay we see the items. That is inexcusable

Great points and my favourite: The menu now draws a blank frame first, then populates it with items. Sometimes taking up to half a second. Nobody noticed this?

Not sure opening a new tab would be viable, as they are sometimes blocked unless you tap a small permission button. Becomes much more confusing and unfriendly

Fleet was snappy and looked great. What was the font? The fact that the crème de la creme, peak of civilization, agentic coding, is now running on top of the worst technology in the world, Electron, is infinitely sad.

Came here to say exactly that. Loved it back in the day, great app.

Been there a few times. I see the skepticism in the comments and would suggest to just visit and see for yourself. Of course it won’t be the full picture but just check it out. It’s perfectly safe, and now easier than ever.

In Summary – What Was Learned • Friendship loss in adulthood is common and often tied to life transitions. • Direct communication with an ex-friend can be enlightening, even if the relationship doesn’t restart. • Personal growth often comes from understanding your role in the ending—not assigning blame or regret, but acknowledging patterns. • Reconnection does not guarantee reunion, and in many cases, the value lies in what you learn about yourself, not whether the relationship is revived.
