In the 70's in high school we saw a film where a crow dropped pebbles into a glass of water in order to raise the level of water so it could get a drink.

Just last night on the radio they were talking about Manning ending a hunger strike and getting some medical attention and having the surgery suggested by her psych doctor.
I don't know how these guys get off saying stuff like that like the guy who said the Katrina hurricane victims deserved what they got for being sinners and the church that protests at funerals. Then when something is done or said to them it's all about the devils work. I'm pretty certain these behaviors are not condoned in any religion or belief system.
Why would we need special roads when we could have truck drones fly over traffic to their destinations?
This is essentially what Jacque Fresco had in mind when he designed the Venus Project. Very interesting read. Will it work? I wish it would but not likely in a capitalist system.
In 1966 we had a middle class. In 1966 minimum wage was $1.20 which is $8.29 in 2012 dollars.(1)
The US stopped having wars with nations and instead has gone onto wars against ideas and things. The war against terror and the war against drugs being two of them. This way they can pick and choose which country to war with those elements without warring with a nation.
Homeland is a good read IMO. So is Little Brother.
"The analysis found a very different result with Google’s top competitors, Bing and Yahoo. When spotted the terms “Hillary Clinton cri” and “Hillary Clintion ind,” Bing and Yahoo brought up as their top choices “Hillary Clinton criminal charges” and “Hillary Clinton indictment” as part of their auto-complete functions using the same key letters, according to SourceFed. While that could reflect legitimate differences in the engines’ algorithms, Mr. Lieberman said that a search of “Hillary Clinton crime reform” on Google trends showed that “there weren’t even enough searches of term to build a graph on the site.”"

You can rent land to farmers. Depending on the land and location in NY, you can rent it for $20-$80 an acre.

I agree. I consider myself as an independently conservative liberal libertarian with social and anti social leanings.
I've always said Facebook is a government agents, pedophiles, stalkers and burglars dream come true. All that information freely given away to whoever wishes to collect it. Now with the audio video aspect, Facebook can branch out into amateur porn.
Google Play offers PayPal Here, works with a card reader, so I can't see why this would be any different.

I was taking a school bus license endorsement exam and saw they throw out a Chinese girl for cheating. The examiner said it was a fairly frequent occurrence. They couldn't read the questions or answers but they could match the picture with the correct line of answers on the computerized testing machine after enough memorization.
Could someone have moved the Bermuda Triangle? Or find another one?

a good idea for jobs where worker impairment presents an imminent physical danger
When I was in school some of the bus drivers were drunk, stoned or tripping on LSD. It really was a lot like the bus driver in The Simpsons.
Back then truckers would do the same and stay awake driving for days; some of the stories I've heard make me wonder how they ever survived long enough to get clean.
criminal background checks
I know of a woman who became a school bus aide after a background check and she was in prison for attempted murder and human trafficking so I don't put a lot of confidence in these preventing employment, only will cut down on applications.
I find it strange to be hearing murmurs of Nokia has some new thing going on all the while they are being sold off. I hope the employees don't find out they've been sold out on twitter.
"The Dwarves" and "Dwarves" (don't judge me man)
Hey I enjoyed these guys, never heard them before; thanks.

Yet all of the listed sources on snopes say the opposite.
I have driven tractor for a farmer. He claimed the cost to control weeds was about the same whether he sprayed with his tractor, hired a crop duster or migrant labor. He was a beet farmer.
They tried that in India, India told them to buzz off.
I remember when bandwidth was at a premium and 1200 baud was fast. There were pleas everywhere to use simple html, white text on black. Images were links to download if you wanted to view them and encouraged only if they added to the content. Nobody was trying to make the web into television.
What if the stars were a version of GPS? You could find your way around from city to city. Ships did it, why not pedestrians?
easier for the lazy to connect with and stay within their own interest groups
Facebook reminds me of AOL. People who had AOL had no idea of anything outside of AOL. I had to show many how to get out of AOL and they were astonished there was so much more.
If Facebook was an ISP it truly would be the new AOL.
Apparently Secretary of State John Kerry and his wife Teresa Heinz also like offshore investments.

There is a satellite image of the fire. 7,686 hectares (almost 19,000 acres) burned so far. Also shows fires in Russia, Australia, Nepal, US, Mexico, Guatemala, and Belize and others.
Also in the repository you can find Emacs etc.
