hey
You could make the same point about this article.
I'm sorry, his book is called My Struggle? What?
Do you have a company name?
It's already been renamed to Coronita here in the Netherlands
Would you mind sharing your email address?
I really enjoyed Chapo Trap House's interview of Bernie Sanders.
I believe Apple forbids running third-party code it hasn’t approved, with some exceptions for educational apps.
The idea is that press releases that look like articles make lazy journalists less critical. Because the phrasing is already very similar to the end result the journalist has to produce, the path of least resistance is to simply copy as much as possible. Lots of big comapanies do this nowadays.
I think the OP meant civilians
A simple no would have sufficed
It won’t kill you though.
All the ways heroin can kill you are direct consequences of its prohibition.
Not sure why you're being downvoted, you're completely correct. The only significant negative effect heroin use has on you besides addiction is constipation. For a heroin addict, the problem isn't the heroin, it's the absence of heroin.
User karma is public, did you mean comment score?
I didn't know that, thanks. πerhaps putting it one the site would be useful.
Certainly an interesting idea, but I think you're raising the barrier to entry by not simply implementing this as a browser extension. By having to develop a completely separate browser you're wasting a lot of time and resources that could otherwise be used to achieve the goals of the project.
I also seriously doubt the willingness of most people to install yet another battery-guzzling Electron app.
I see, thanks!
What advantages does this have over a discourse forum or a subreddit?
I don't think forcing is the right word.. I've noticed that languages where the "right way" is the path of least resistance the code quality stays high even if a lot of people with varying levels of expertise contribute
Are the insiders paid, and do their employers know they're working with you guys?
I might be able to give some perspective on this. I'm 16 years old, and I know about 4 people who are active om FB. People who are a few years older generally do have FB, though, and use it quite intensively. Most of the contact people have with FB are WhatsApp and Instagram, which are both ubiquitous. (For context, I'm Dutch.)
was gonna say this isn't mobile friendly but i guess that's the point
GitHub, because everyone uses it and because the developers haven't ever accidentally deleted the production database.
The fact that Google stores deleted documents from my drive makes me kind of uneasy... why would they ever need this? Speaking of which, does anyone know if the contents of your drive is used for your ad profile?
I don't know about this. Weed is semi-legal in The Netherlands but people who deal "on the side" are still very common.
I LOL'd at the site headline: "Chinese maze: Village makes giant tech code from trees"
Yeah apparently it uses https://ocr.space/, deal-breaker for me.
Scroll hijacking is incredibly annoying and doesn't add anything to the functionality of the website. Stop.
Why? It's pretty descriptive.
I loved the MINIX book: https://www.amazon.com/Operating-Systems-Design-Implementati...
