Totally agree. People’re saying Microsoft this, Microsoft that with their Microsoft hate, but they ignore the fact that AI trend making GitHub worse, and GitHub is trying to fix.

Tbh, I love this flow. They truely think for users, all users not just advanced users. Unlike Apple, Apple just think for its ecosystem, its money.

I was long time Kiwi user, then changed to Cromite recently. But I missed uBlock Origin so I decided to give Edge a try. And fyi, Kiwi browser is discontinued. [1]

I just moved my main browser on Android to Edge using the uBlock Origin installation trick. It will not have a happy ending as I hoped. I will consider moving away from Edge on my PC now.

Sadly, I still cannot add custom filters to uBlock Lite.

The classic Outlook is good now. Enterprise did integrate many addins to it for years. I don’t know replacing with the web based one is better or not. I guess not.

Just wow. Seeing the demo, I just hope Microsoft can do somthing like that with current Explorer app. It's good now but still can improve more with something like File Pilot

First of all, it’s highly unlikely that this containerized version of Android 12 will pass Play Integrity checks, especially once the new Play Integrity upgrades roll out next year. That means many Android apps will refuse to run entirely. Second, the container appears to use microG instead of Google Play Services, which means certain features won’t be supported. Third, only whitelisted Android apps can be installed, according to early adopters. Fourth, notifications for many apps only appear when they’re open. Fifth, apps like Netflix won’t stream videos above SD quality as the build lacks Widevine L1 DRM support. Finally, Android apps in the container don’t have access to files or photos from Harmony OS Next, though it is apparently possible to share files to the Android container.

Many Chinese users are actually quite satisfied with smartphones that don’t have Google Play Services. Running Google Play Services in the background can cause performance issues, so devices without it tend to be smoother and have better battery life. However, there are some limitations with notifications, as mentioned above.

Google services like YouTube and Gmail may not work smoothly with Firefox because Google slows them down. If you don’t use Google services (which most people do), you don’t need to worry.

Why don’t we just use Edge? It offers a superior experience with features like vertical tabs, collections, and more.

They just did delay pushing the latest version of source code, didn't they? I remember there is a help page which instructs you to compare the source of both GitHub and clients version.

So we have to trust Telegram just like we trust Apple with iMessage right? Since Apple also has ability to extract information from iCloud backup [1].

Anyway, I don't know why HN crowds tend to aggressive with Telegram. Personally I like it and use it like a social platform.
