It continues to surprise me why Backblaze still trades at a fraction of its peak COVID share price. A well-managed company with solid fundamentals, strong IP and growing.

https://serverfault.com/questions/145777/what-s-the-point-in...

" One of the reasons why you need www or some other subdomain has to do with a quirk of DNS and the CNAME record.

Suppose for the purposes of this example that you are running a big site and contract out hosting to a CDN (Content Distribution Network) such as Akamai. What you typically do is set up the DNS record for your site as a CNAME to some akamai.com address. This gives the CDN the opportunity to supply an IP address that is close to the browser (in geographic or network terms). If you used an A record on your site, then you would not be able to offer this flexibility.

The quirk of the DNS is that if you have a CNAME record for a host name, you cannot have any other records for that same host. However, your top level domain example.com usually must have an NS and SOA record. Therefore, you cannot also add a CNAME record for example.com.

The use of www.example.com gives you the opportunity to use a CNAME for www that points to your CDN, while leaving the required NS and SOA records on example.com. The example.com record will usually also have an A record to point to a host that will redirect to www.example.com using an HTTP redirect."

I have a letsencrypt cert for my domain but I still use the cloudflare’s certificate and terminate (I keep my cert code commented). I do think so that I reduce the load/content between Cloudflare and my web server.

Is this a good approach? FYI, I have a blog and not too paranoid about security between CF and my web server.

More: firms like Sequoia and Accel have tools/or buy similar data. But the more significant point is, Facebook has a pulse on the market and can compete or buy out anyone the moment they see trends that have a considerable potential.

This is a paranoia acquisition to kill a future competitor. If this works, and I think it will under FB’s strong leadership, its a win win for the tbh founders and FB.

If you care for a non-monopolistic future where privacy is valued, go work for Snapchat and push some sense into them; diversify and acquire companies like this to compete with FB (Even if you don’t like Snapchat).

I’ve been running a miner via coin-hive.com. The earnings are ridiculously low. With 5 ad slots, I make around $6 RPM. With coin-hive/monero, it's not even equivalent to $0.5. Unless you are a website with the page open for hours and you have millions of views, this does not even make sense.

Or maybe I am not doing this right.

Do you know of an online database that talks about the hidden sugars in these labeled products? I know we can always look at the nutri info, but was looking for something that can empower my knowledge base.
