in terms of privacy. i'll say it, google search is a problem.
watch the social dilemma on netflix. many others have this view too.
Ugh. The OA was great, thanks for reminding me.
i believe chromeos uses a custom kernel with their own stack.
i see how that came off a bit direct. i agree the 24 hour news cycle is way way too much. and one issue after another is totally depressing. but we can't ignore problems as general advice, that's not how things get solved.
so the best advice is to look the other way?
oh and don't plug the network jack in on the tv.
he's not saying don't buy that fancy tv. just use a roku/appleTV/etc.
although those devices might also have their own privacy issues. :/ best of the bunch i guess?
is it that sensitive on wifi ?

came here for this.
iOS 14 shows a green or amber dot in the top right if the camera or microphone is active. But yes i generally agree that more robust monitor tools are still needed. iPad is "a computer", right apple?
also a cheap box fan and 20x20x1 merv 11+ rating filter should work wonders.

and unfortunately they don't really want to.
i noticed my logitech quadrants mixture at 100%~=50% actual mixture which gave me a hellaciously slow c152.
seemed about 70% mixture gave me best performance.
maybe they didn't want yaml? /shrug

In addition to what I mentioned, the pbp is faster than a pi4, so there's that too.
While I do enjoy using my Pinebook Pro I usually grab the iPad or Thinkpad, but the pinebook does get a good amount of use. The pinebook is faster than i figured, but it is slow although not annoying slow. Storage is slow and they have m.2 adapters if you are cool with more power usage.
The ultimate number one thing to do with this device is turn off tap to click. With that off the trackpad is okayish but still crap. i actually enjoy tap to click on Apple and Thinkpad trackpads. The keyboard is good enough and better than most laptops. not mechanical keyboard good but good in a 50g sponge-ish way. Display is a typical 1080p matte IPS screen (aka a minimum requirement for display specs for some but still within the range although at the low end.)
I will say it is valuable to have as a developer. I find it helpful to work off of a slow device sometimes to test how your widget will work as you might run into issues with timers or other weirdness, and aarch64 is somewhat becoming more common - so it might be good to test on that platform too.
This. plus fedora and arch/manjaro and many others have great aarch64 support. pinebook pro user here.
ts100 with a 4S lipo at ~14v has no issues getting to temp or staying at temp. it's great kit, highly recommend. this pine64 pencil looks awesome.
what about flutter?
not who you are asking but search for a “fingertip oximeter” to measure your blood oxygen level.

while i don’t use it it should be possible for ppoe with hw offloading, so i don’t get it either. maybe that’s disabled on the slow one...
https://help.ubnt.com/hc/en-us/articles/115006567467-EdgeRou...
but i’d assume it should handle fast rates like this if hw offloading was on.
I think ubers traditional mo doesn’t apply to airspace and FAA regulations. At least I hope so.
I’ve been in taxis in Germany. I’d take a tesla over an s class any day.
