Mixed success. For google it has been somewhat a failure but the business model for disrutpion was exported and a few companies have been able to take root.

A few weed like companies (resiliant but too small) have popped up to cover how the landscape never really changed.

In my opinion the claim of persecution based on origin is unfounded. The apps have demonstrated potentially illegal actions by gathering the data how they do. I don't think they are the only ones that do this in the market but that is besides the case. I hope more get unmasked. This EO may produce precedent in regining intrusive borederline illegal spying (intrusive data gathering) via social media sites and applications. POTUS does have the power to reign in companies operating in the US market especially when demonstrating potential harm to citizens.

I'm worried about the asymmetry of enforcement as much as you are. However, I wouldn't put it past the current POTUS to do something stupid and invalidate his athority.

I agree that this was a kneecapping and completely disagree that we need to privatize the USPS. Current administration has gained the ability to raise the price for packages coming in from China[1] and it has tried to charge Amazon more using USPS by witholding a federal 10 billion loan[2]. There are many more instances that reliably indicate the USPS recieves consistent hostility from the federal government.

Yes but forcing just USPS to do it was an attack on USPS because it has to compete with private companies. State and local run organizations have no such competition thus 'locally too big to fail'.

I've heard of some interesting talk about making a working USPS federal credit union/bank for a variety of services to the public that might prove lucrative and something that would potentially ease USPSs cash troubles. I'm not an expert into the economics about that and it might prove disruptive to a lot of businesses.

Just as a reminder for everyone reading this the JCPOA has been violated for almost a year by Iran and they seem to be much closer at maintaining weapons grade enrichment and warheads.
