I couldn't find out on the fly: does it support multiple humans?

A lot of these tools (paperclip) don't, but for our small, agent-supported team, that would be the feature we're looking for. I.e. the agents of different marketing roles talking to each other, with clearly defined 'human in the loop' decision making.

I find that very obvious too. It started (visibly) shortly after the Opus 4.6 hype.

Munich seems to have become the preferred destination for US companies opening their German office (most recent: OpenAI, Notion, Anthropic).

So if Microsoft would have paved that way, it would have been totally worth it for the city.

For me apps like Opal work really well.

Opal is incredibly helpful for me. Exactly the right amount of control and annoyance to get me off social media.

This will be missed and was a really nice growth hack. The following scenario just worked so well:

- Setting up phone for relatives

- Replacing Android Messages with Signal

- “So this is the App to send and receive SMS, and you can also send me and many others secure and free messages on there”

My optimism for Signal becoming mainstream just faded...

what percentage of users actually care about using the OSX dictionary while working? They took out a bunch of space to show a user using the dictionary for the word "reading" - a use case that likely doesn't resonate with 99.9% of their users.

Indeed, what a ridicolous example that is! I've not once used the built in dictionary on purpose, only clicked it by mistake. And they chose the word "reading" to highlight some sort of usefulness?

I love Sketch and am a paying user with our company, but this article and discussion does not leave me hopeful for a bright future.

Exactly my story. Had this with my retina MBP from 2015 and couldn't understand how this is supposed to be usable.

I generally agree, but what a few lines of CSS would make it much more pleasant to read IMO:

- limit container width so lines don't get too long

- larger text and more line height

And not really CSS but:

- Making it easier to collapse comments on mobile

I know some of those changes would potentially destroy the look & feel that some seem to enjoy around here. However on mobile currently it's only possible to enjoy HN via a third party app though.

They just raised $100M last November, I wouldn't consider them dead... Probably busy hiring :)

Same here. Had hope, but the fans of my RMBP state otherwise.

Always the same ritual:

- Read about new firefox version

- "I should give it a try again"

- Update and start new firefox

- Open spiegel.de and youtube.com (note: with pi-hole active!)

- Fans of RMBP go crazy, scrolling a news article lags like it's 1999

- "Well, let's hope for a better/usable performance with the next update. I'd love to use it after all..."

I don't agree. Just because a phone needs foresight and charging, doesn't mean that it's not a massive disadvantage if other accessory also require the same effort. It's just an additional hassle and more things to charge.

That logic doesn't scale.

Airtable is great - I use it every day. It's perfect for anything in-between document and spreadsheet; when you have to deal with database-like entries that are awkward to handle with a word processor or spreadsheet.

I was hoping that Dropbox might acquire Airtable one day, and integrates it into Dropbox Paper. That would put them ahead of Quip, Coda and the like in an instant (for my use case).

Agreed, and I'm confident to say that every power user would benefit from vertical tabs. After all you can still read the title text when having more than 10 tabs open.

I'm experiencing the retina macbook performance issue, hence I can't use FF + tree style tabs anymore, which was frustrating. Until I recently discovered the Vivaldi Browser (https://vivaldi.com/) which has it as a native option - plus it's built on Chromium. Most Chrome extensions work.

I'm in the exact same boat. Trying since a year to switch (back) to FF, but my testing period always end in frustration. Chrome is much more "snappy" in all regards.
