I've used Evolution for years but lately it's started choking on gmail OAuth support. The solution appears to be installing Gnome keychain support, which then messes with KDE Wallet. For now I'm just using the web and the mobile app

As someone who works in the industry I can assure you that you're not harming morale nor affecting employee retention in the slightest. Being an asshole doesn't make you relevant, it only makes you an asshole

To read a piece of paper I only need glasses or magnifying glass, and the entire menu is still available; it's easy to jump from one place to another on it. Zooming in on a small screen restricts the amount of information I can readily access, and forces me to scroll around to find what I want

I used to use Preview.app extensively for work until it was rewritten & hobbled post-Mavericks. While it's still useful it lost a lot of functionality i.e. "smart" text insertion.

We're talking "out of the box" here, and while I'm not a fan of a lot of the UI changes in macOS it still "just works". Linux doesn't i.e. the wifi on my laptop dies after sleep & the only "fix" is a reboot. I've tried everything the internet can suggest, to no avail. You say you can "actually fix it in Linux", but this isn't true; sometimes the "fix" requires a level of technical knowledge that ordinary users don't have.
