this video[0] from "mentour pilot" on youtube explains the stabilizer system quite well.
it seems the trim wheels are connected manually to the trim mechanism in the back, but when the trim stabilizers are in an extreme position the wind loading on them makes it very hard/impossible to rotate the trim wheels manually.
from what i understand, one way to relieve/lessen the wind loading so that the manual wheels can be used again is to (in the case of trim down) dive the plane. this would lessen the wind loading on the stabilizer and allow the manual wheels to move again. but you would need "room" to dive, something they did not have in this case.
the difference that i find valuable is that cloop is not a file system, whereas squashfs is. this means that i can use cloop to compress _any_ file system at the block level. very useful as a sys-admin.
the cloop[0] system from knoppix is something i use often to back up arbitrary file systems. debian has the cloop-utils which includes create_compressed_fs, and this is great for making compressed copies of file systems which can then be read without uncompressing the whole blob. however i have found debian's cloop-src module to be problematic in that i have never been able to get it to compile. the actual module comes as source only, and without this part it is not possible to read the backups without uncompressing, which is a shame. in fact it appears debian has recently removed cloop from debian testing[1] for this reason. so it is still necessary (and enjoyable) to have knoppix around to use the decompression system, although it is a huge pain to do it this way. i hope debian is able to get things sorted finally with cloop-src! that would be great.

what about cinerella? when i researched what video editor to learn next after kdenlive it was cinerella. it seems to work fine, and i am surprised not to see any comments regarding it. seems like it is completely out of the running?
this sounds interesting. could you elaborate a bit? it is unclear if you are inverting once, or twice. "if you have a stereo signal, anything not fully-centered will come through better while the rest is cut out" -- is this before or after an inversion?

maybe not specifically relevant to your use case, but one excellent open source program for ham radio sdr stuff that i have found is linrad. it's got a bit of a learning curve, and is pretty fun once you get the hang of it. the author is very interesting, and has a youtube channel with lots of info on linrad and other ham radio projects.

Does anyone have any experience with ipop/groupvpn[0]? It seems like an interesting alternative to tinc in that it can do turn/stun using libjingle to bust nat. I'm not clear on how well tested or secure it is though.
tinc 1.1pre seems pretty good, but I do worry about the legacy fallback for encryption; There doesn't seem to be any way to e.g. --force-experimental to prevent encryption falling back to the old RSA mode.
Have you tried ipop/social-vpn[0]? It uses libjingle (stun, turn, etc) to get through firewalls. I don't know much about it's security though, or if it has been audited.
I tested some of the most popular Kali Linux compatible cards against each other here[0]. Note that there is a version 2 of the popular and cheap TP-Link TL-WN722N which DOES NOT work like the version 1 and should be avoided.
All of these cards are "known to just work" on linux at least.
The Tesoro Compadre[0] is pretty great and very affordable.
Best in higher end might be Nokta[1] and its sister company Makro[2].
Anything from any of those three companies will be good and high value.

I have found this book to be an excellent resource. Also I have been supplementing it with the oreilly book "Programming Rust" (early release at this point) which has also been great. http://shop.oreilly.com/product/0636920040385.do I have had very little experience with C style languages in the past and am mostly scripting until recently.
This kind of reminds me of how some of these companies disable the scanner portion of "All-in-One" type printers if the printer portion is out of ink.

As for the C2600, I do not believe it is stable yet, and still being worked on. I deliberately don't put "trunk" only builds on the page because not everyone is sufficiently technical to deal with them. It should show up soon though by the looks of things (will be stable soon-ish).
