Sam, how young can they apply for YC? :)

I know this isn't the place for it, but when she said that, I just had to share. Give her a chance... time is on her side.

Every one of our customers who has access to our API demonstrates that the Ark (YC W12) API has much more data than FullContact's API. Send me an email and I'll hook you up.

The issue is they specific said you can't start or use existing code before the date (still there in the rules PDF). I know that many very talented teams followed that rule even though theycould have used some of their older repos and did something even more impressive than Upshot. Then they respond to a forum question, weeks after the hackathon started, saying "yeah sure, just not a significant amount". Most programmers were heads down in their code and didn't check the forum. That's wrong and they did nothing to explain or correct this.

Interesting hack. So since you inject that social info at the time of the email, that means if someone gets a new job, it will still show the old employer info / position in the older emails... right? What made you guys do this instead of your own mail app like Mailbox?

Absolutely using it to sell books (at a high cost, btw, if he tries to get back on FB), but he brings up some interesting points. "It does things on our behalf when we're not even there."

But my favorite part is at the bottom where we are all invited to "like" CNN Opinions on...wait for it.. FB. You'd think he demand that they not have that below his article.

Pretty awesome that Facebook could pull this off so quickly. I literally said that exact line to Lars (who lead the search team) during our meetings last year... I can't believe he reused verbatim in the video:

"Facebook is for the all the people you know... Ark is for all the people you should know".

Glympse was founded by dinosaurs.. retired Microsoft guys. I'd put my money on three talented teens with a better UX in their first version every day of the week. Keep on shipping, Moby team!
