The fact this is the top comment shows that HN is healing.

Vibe coded based on one of my oldest repos, I actually wrote this by hand in Phoenix LiveView 7 years ago but didn't publish, now AI allowed me to publish it in WebAssembly.

Would be the best time for China to come out with a fully open source OS as competition.
I just tried it first time. I was happy when I saw it integrates with GitHub Copilot subscription and then I went ahead with Claude Sonnet 3.7 (from the GitHub Copilot provided models) and made some cool changes to our app.
So far very good.
And each toilet flush you make should also have a Co2 calculation which should go against your daily carbon allowance.
Hmm, there is already a similar project with the same name: https://github.com/opencode-ai/opencode
They are just as expensive due to taxes.
In EU in some countries because of extra taxes it's really expensive to buy a bigger car so 3+ kids can fit in. But those rich people who sit alone in huge luxury SUVs they still sit alone. They have the money while families usually don't.
I just hope this doesn't go in this wrong direction.
Probably GMKtec is cheaper and better. I own one. https://www.gmktec.com
You are DEEPLY WRONG on all issues you mentioned.
Open weight models do not require great investment. In fact I can run them on my 400 EUR computer.
Also why you want to regulate text output from machines in the name of "public good"? That's insanity.
That's how you can weaken a country, create a movement with the media that calls for the destruction of their own energy production. Try that in Russia...

A model that possesses the entire collective knowledge of our civilization is useless if it can't directly quote its sources.
That's a strong and baseless statement.
And you fall for fake statistics.
How many things are out there peer reviewed and complete BS? There was huge political pressure and even till this day you can't criticize any of it even here. My prev comment is already hidden. Does that make you trust the data if you can't even question it publicly or you will lose your job?
I responded to a comment mentioning death and calling to get the vaccine as possible protection. Why would be my comment odd then? You don't have to go far back in history to see why this is dangerous do you?
Saw a documentary a few years ago about young girls who got injured by this HPV vaccine. In fact I saw it before that in a local newspaper how a Hungarian company that promotes these HPV vaccines lie in an advertisement using clever tactics to mislead public and induce fear. It was very clever actually, showed it to some people and all of them got tricked by it.
How quickly this comment section turned into a fear induced vaccine sales platform is something that I don't wanted to see this quickly after the last years happenings.
I'm sorry for your uncle, but we have to get something right here. Fear from death is something that is controlling people more than they think, and the results of that as we have seen in the last years was devastating on our lives. It would be smarter to not place full trust into these products. Take that as my opinion.
Thanks for linking this, we use LiveViews, we have only a few controllers.
I'm working on a medium sized LiveView project now.
The leex to heex change was 1 day for us and the benefits were immediately worth it. (HTML auto formatting and validation, better syntax). Components were a thing before heex, I wouldn't say they are taking center stage now, there is no rewrite required there, you either use Component, LiveComponent or LiveView. When to use which is very simple as the their name indicate.
I also worked with Rails before and I'm happy to see their progress, I however wouldn't go back to work with it if I can choose, for me Phoenix and LiveView doesn't feel like magic or too much convention unlike Rails does unfortunately.
I'm not sure where the industry is going but the innovations around LiveView are really convincing (I'm using LiveView in my work).
Some great innovating Elixir projects:

Since masks mean less interaction (contrary to what you wrote) people are looking to fill part of that information void through mainstream media. Which is a fear machine at the moment. More fear -> More masking up
Nobody said media is talking about masks all day.
We are at the point that the damage is visible on children so I don't care about bowing to HN's liberal readers anymore. It is clear as daylight, mask mandates are damaging our society.
More mask -> Less social interaction -> More media attention -> More fear -> More mask...
My other favorite search engine next to DDG is https://search.brave.com/.
I try to use these two and only fall back to google in rare occasions these days.

Will these robot taxi cars require a vaccine passport to operate?
That is one example that was interpreted by you to be valid for all other cases? Seeing your other comments I think you highly trust the medical system. Never trust blindly my friend.
“This is a clear message to those who, for the benefit and selfish pleasure of a few, rob us of our common heritage and erase entire swaths of our history.”
There should be a better process to legally report the items or exchange them for market value so this wouldn't happen in the first place?
