This is amazing. I also think this will become more common. I feel there is a lot of software that can just be served locally via html/typescript/react etc and even have local state. There's just not been an economic incentive till now.

I am personally using kimi k3 to create a mobile friendly set of games, starting from math like linear algebra to quantum physics - neurodivergent friendly, completely local state, served from github pages - to get someone interested in the field. This needs an economic incentive to exist without LLMs, because of so much different expertise needed, and time.

if anyone's interested in the games let me know - i plan to play it myself, improve it, remove bugs etc before publishing on HN.

For writing for human consumption, I’ve taken to hand writing the docs and having agents review and suggest improvements.

For personal use I’m considering using the frontier models from openai or anthropic to create a plan with research and brainstorming etc with enough details for cheap models to be able to follow (glm, deepseek etc) - with openrouter - will monitor how cheap and effective that turns out to be.

Somehow 'Kage' is the first name claude suggests to me for any new project as well

It’s a fairly non trivial project (BitTorrent compliant p2p downloader for model weights on top of huggingface xet) - whenever it doesn’t know the syntax or makes errors, it literally reads the standard library code to understand and fix it. The project works too!

I’ve honestly had consistently the opposite experiences for general questions. Also for images, Gemini just hallucinates crazily. ChatGPT even on free tier is giving perfectly correct answers, and I’m on Gemini pro. I canceled it yesterday because of this

Agreed. A product owner or a product manager is what people in OP's position usually go for. And they draw very high salaries from what I've seen. Companies must desperately want people in OP's position.

Your experience in building the startup is highly valuable. If you're going to look for a job, you will be most likely asked architectural and system design related questions, with Data structures and algorithms problems for screening at some places. You will easily find a well paying job with your experience and portfolio, don't worry.

I've found podcasts to be incredible tools to induce sleep. It's very difficult to stay awake for me while listening to any podcast or audiobook. I really don't know how people do it.

I think you're looking for something to take offense to without any reason. A tribe from a poor country building these things from videos they saw on internet is certainly more impressive than a 15 year old american kid doing the same. The reason is not that they can't be that capable, the difference is that these people have not been exposed to education, environment, schools, infrastructure, computers etc like a kid from the most developed country in the world. That is what is impressive here. You can't compare the two because of the background they come from, not because they are inferior.

By doing python projects first you familiarize with it and then if you are still on - you should read zen of python, pep8, etc..
