when you have ADHD these types of rules are really helpful. some people might find them weird and say "just change your schedule, do it later, whatever", but I know if I postpone it I'll forget it or screw up doing some other chore or a "previously allocated free-time".

How can those numbers be 'out of place'? Just last month the state of São Paulo started to remove assassinations by the police from the official murder stats [1] to make it look like things are getting better.

I haven't tested it yet, but it seems you can setup your tracking image to return a "Cache-Control: no-cache, max-age=0" header and it will always be reloaded when the email is opened.

Well, I'm quite happy using Sprint.ly (https://sprint.ly) to build our product. I think what makes it a good choice for software development are the things it does not have, like custom statuses, custom item types, time tracking. Also, it has sane defaults.

Their story format (As a ... I want ... so that ....) can be weird at first if you are not used to it, but it really helps focusing on the real benefits of a feature and segmenting your customers.

Unfortunately the same thing can't be said about AudioGalaxy.

If you need to host your own screenshot/html2png app, I've built this on top of PhantomJS: https://github.com/w3p/htmlshots. It uses PhantomJS's builtin webserver module to serve screenshots, so you don't need to spawn a new process for each screenshot request.

This is really good. A great addition would be Aviary support for images. If I come up with something good I'll send a PR.

If you need to stick with Ruby for whatever reason, I recommend using Grape.

Your template docs are nice, I've been doing something similar for https://templateria.com. We have our own standard that serves as a base to generate HTML in other standards such as Mailchimp and Campaign Monitor.

Just signed up for beta, I want to try some of our templates there.

Nice! I have created something similar, called Konstati (http://konstati.co), focusing on email marketers. So far it only tests emails against Spamassassin, providing useful tips about each SA rule (still only in portuguese, though).

I'm currently working on it to support W3C validation, link and image checkers and email previews.
