USB! I’ve tried and failed couple times in understanding how USB works under the hood, from electrical, to protocol, then classes, and also Power Delivery. This time around things seem to make more sense now. It started out as an ambitious goal to emulate an FTDI USB DMX converter with the ESP32-S2/S3, but realizing that might be too big a goal, so I’m starting small. I want to be able to make a custom device class on the ESP32, and write a driver with libusb.

They only need the server's public key to encrypt it client side. But if all you want is to see if they're spying on you, you could go one step above and see if they're calling system APIs to your mic/camera/keyboard, instead of observing the network activities.

I never find the speed and acceleration of the Apple Trackpads slow. Out of curiosity, how are you moving your fingers when you want the mouse to travel long distances? What I do is repetitions of the movement on same area of the trackpad , e.g. my finger never drags more than two inches of the surface. I also have tap to click disabled, and use my middle finger to move, thumb to do left click, and middle + ring finger for right click.
