Formally you're correct. Cudos to France. I think there are also a number of invesitgations started in other european countries. Like Norway or something.

In practice majority of people from the list are americans. The released documents are created by the parts of the american government (we did not see what other organisations know/have) which is literally responsible for enforcing the law. It even have "justice" in their title "Department of Justice". And this is only the visible to us part. They have way more info than they showed... So yeah, no justice is not on the menu today from USA's government.

Just couple years ago mr altman was promising open AI, to benefit humanity. They even forgot to remove this part about "openess" from the company name.

Today chineese deliver that promise and usa people freak out like they have any skin in this game. Enjoy the ride leader of the free world....

It's a problem because their country is ruled by an authoritarian regime

Hey, have you seeing what trump does with your (presumably) country? Maybe wars? Maybe market manipulation? Mayde pedo right covering on the government level? Maybe bubbles and threats to EU? What an ignorance. You live with old stories, not the current state of the world...

Somehow chineese make less troubles and more good to the world than americans at this point... Something something about ai benefiting all humanity, something something ai being open and stuff, like OpenAI.

Chineese simply delivering what americans promised.

Tell me: why is EU safe from Trump forcing AI companies to cut access to EU?

Digital marketing creative investment into audience experience with goal of subsequent monetisation. Like and subscribe.

I could not resist playing this game of words...

Hey where are the promises "to benefit all humanity" and the meaning of the "open" from openai gone? We act as those words were not said

Chineese are simply doing what openai promised in its early years. Irony.

two aspects

1. The situation I imply is way broader: it includes corporate favoritism, epstein files people not getting cosequences, cricular investment of the hyperscalers, illusion of AI boom where the president is just a cherry on top. Swap the cherries, and next ones will keep doing what current ones showed is possible and brings no consequences. Add money-printing, war which can't be won, debt growth etc etc. So yes, I don't see good way up from this point. Even with completely midterms lost by trump supporters the major block of problems stays on the table.

2. The mid terms may not result in trump weakening. There are number of scenarios where trump's team/supportes keep major control or even expand it (emergency powers, military or federal interference, or good old intimidation).

The epstein-guest-pedo-leader of the "claim-to-be-leader-nation" monetize billion in crypto, poorly chineese manufactured phone and sells access to own market-manipulation-intended-texts. It's so much bad stuff that poor people don't even know how to start battling with it...

The music on this sinking ship will keep playing till the very end. It's a decline. There is no observable way up from this point.

Cool watch. Have mine for a while. Would recommend. I love battery time (around 2 weeks with my usage patterns with longer backlight time). Love variability and flexibility of watchfaces. Comparing to my usecases of applewatch I am missing "find my phone" (which is mentioned to be under development) and paying with the watch. Yet increased battery life + hackability compensates those for me.

Hacking your own app is also something easily accessible. When I preordered the watch I thought of a breathing app which could be used with closed eyes. App must indicate breathing phase with vibrations. Guess what? In couple days I got first version running and published (couple more weeks of polishing completely transformed the initial version which still has screenshots in the project folder for historical reasons). In case you also want to meditate/box-breach with your pebble here is it free on any charge

This writing is too realistic to feel joy about it. Thanks for putting it together (and then to the HN)

about three quarters of the money SpaceX just raised then? While rest is paid to the debters...

Most probably it will be mix of stock/cash

Who cares about users? This decision is the best for costs(less to spent on ai) and on demand for newer models

__Truly helpful__ it's funny to think about reasons people put these words there

There are many "right" ways to read my comment. Reading it says more about reader than the writer.

And yes, most probably I violated some spoken/unspoken rules and ready to bear consequences.

Common sense abotu security has shifted significantly. You're (me including) with out common sense of security are in minority today. We're uncommon. Wait till people start questioning such stance.

I just was reading docs on plugin for toddlywiki which makes gives it multiuser support and lan accessibility. The level of awarness of the risks of opening your tw server (i't like 5-ish years ago) to LAN is almost read like a satire from where we're today.

I see in this story organisational boundaries between teams. Teams which don't have common coordination space (or used for something more __important__). Responsible people don't care enough to mitigate such deviations earlier

Yeah, we again have a solution (LLMs) in search of problems.

Proper approach to speeding things up would be to ask "What are the limiting factors which stops us from X, Y, Z".

This situation of management expecting things to become fast because of AI is "vibe management". Why to think, why to understand, why to talk to your people if you saw an excited presentation of the magic tool and the only thing you need to do is to adopt it?..
