You can also create indexes concurrently, using `algorithm: :concurrently` when creating the index[1]. You can't create concurrent indexes within a transaction, so be sure to call `disable_ddl_transaction!` in your migration definition.

What features are you using postgres_ext for? A lot of the ActiveRecord datatypes support is handled by Rails 4.0 (arrays, uuid, ranges, inet/cidr and macaddr are in Rails 4.0). I want to submit some pull requests to Arel to add support for some of the datatype operators

You can do that, but you perjure yourself in the process, and won't take it down permanently. I could take down Rails by filing a bogus DCMA, but I'd have a lawsuit on my hands if Rails decided to pursue it

Agreeing with your point, Android is heavily fragmented, with phone manufacturers having the final say on which software gets deployed to their phones. I don't see where Textmate and Vim differ in an aesthetic sense when it comes to working with the editor. The chrome on the two may differ, but when you use the same font and syntax highlighting colors, they are going to look the same

I think the parent post is referring to the various Sony hacks that occurred earlier this year.

I think you read the article wrong. Sony is stating that they detected a large number of sign in attempts, which many failed, but 93,000 succeeded. The attempts were made using the data (they assume) obtained from the prior hacks on the various Sony sites. This is not a new breach, but a follow through with the data from prior breaches, probably due to the affected users not updating their credentials from the prior hack.

On issue that JoachimSchipper points out [1] is that Sony probably isn't rate limiting, or throttling login attempts, which is a security issue, as it opens up the possibility of brute force attacks

So you expect to get a logo for free with that logic. What they are selling here is a somewhat pre-built brand. If you want a $10 domain, spend the time to think of one that isn't registered. This will definitely take at least a few hours. Do you value your time? 6 hours spent thinking of a domain name is "free", but it took 6 hours during which you could be doing billable work, at a very low ~$40/hr

This was a result of kernel.org being compromised. Kernel.org is rebuilding all of their servers, and the android repo will return soon (it was reported it could be as early as yesterday [1], but that was obviously not the case)

In the realm of CMSs, RedDot works this way. It is a bake CMS, when you publish, it creates the whole site as a set of files. You can use it to generate php, asp, jsp etc pages, but it takes the data stored in a database and creates the files from the taxonomy stored there.

That is probably the case. Probably all of Adobe's sites are managed by Business Catalyst.

Scroll down to the bottom of the page, it states: "This site built in Muse (code name) by Adobe®".

How do you propose getting early feedback if you don't do a beta launch?
