About your text issue: The only time I've ever seen that happening is when the line height is considerably smaller than the actual text size. Sometimes when resizing text Sketch will not scale the line spacing accordingly. Maybe not your issue but I thought I'd share.
No; no ISP would ever run externally managed equipment inside their network.
You haven't been paying attention to that Edward Snowden fella, have you?
Interestingly enough Testflight dropped support for Android yesterday!

Whatsapp has virtually no market share in the US. In basically all markets outside of the US, however, they are dominating the messaging space. Text messages in major EU countries like Germany and France have been almost completely supplanted by WhatsApp.
At this rate they can only pull that off a handful of times.
I know a couple guys that will be rather unhappy about the choice of moniker. http://www.getchronos.com/
Thank you for your detailed reply Will. Quite astonishing what kind of professional behavior is ostensibly permissible. To the layman, Steve looks like a total crook.
Appalling.
Maybe somebody with a legal education that eclipses mine can chime in here, but isn't this whole exchange just mired in liability landmines? For starters, Jobs is trying to coerce a non-compete clause out of Colligan. To the best of my knowledge, that is just flat out illegal in California. Then we have the pretty much blatant threat of unrelated patent litigation if Palm chooses not to cooperate with the aforementioned hiring policy. Shouldn't that be regarded as extortion?
Would love to hear an expert opinion on why this exchange even took place in any traceable from. I imagine an Apple lawyer would see Jobs type this up and just burn the whole place to the ground...
Interesting. Thank you.
Does anybody know how this "rogue" webmaster took undue advantage of the CyanogenMod brand? The Facebook post states something about referral deals with community sites. Any idea what that would mean in practical terms?
Just curious.
You won't know if your DNS is down in that case :)
Could you elaborate? I fail to see the connection.
Could somebody explain to me how this is different from envoy? https://github.com/kennethreitz/envoy
Not meant as a snide remark; genuinely curious.
You're absolutely right. But reading this article the author seems to imply a negative connotation by saying you'd be hard pressed to find somebody willing to live in the mission because of "hipsters, homeless and immigrants".
Read this post right up to the following line, "There’s also huge differences from neighborhood to neighborhood as you are unlikely to find someone interested in the Mission (hipsters, homeless and immigrants)"
Pretty repulsive point of view IMHO.
EDIT: I am a recent immigrant to the United States
Coming from Android what I'm really missing — and was hoping to get out of the numerous geo related Apple acquisitions — is a proper competitor to Google's in-house navigation software. The GPS software integrated with iOS is an atrocity compared to what you get with Gingerbread(?) and higher.
Seeing that smartphones are increasingly replacing standalone consumer GPS solutions, I think its fair to say that Apple dropped the ball on this one. Maybe I'm jaded but who cares about 3D pictures when what I really want is a solution to get from A to B?
I'm usually not a fan of the dismissive tone that is customary in many a HN comment, but you simply don't know what you're talking about.
Tragic indeed. May the deities hear your outcry!
Do you have any helpful suggestions on how to solve this problem by other means? I found the symlink solution to be quite elegant and never experienced any unexpected behavior.
I just might. Thanks for the tip!
I'm actually on a Mac :) Should've mentioned that.
Has anybody tried syncing extisting folders via symlinks? Using Dropbox this is how I prefer to keep track of folders outside of the actually Dropbox folder. Google Drive just seems to ignore them. Not being able to include other folders would pretty much be a deal-breaker for me :( Any ideas?

Hey Kura,
I'm going to go ahead an assume that you're the same person who created the video.
Any chance you could give an overview of how you made this visualization possible? Maybe share the code or explain what components you used / how they interact?
Either way, thanks for sharing :)
AIUI, Truecrypt is actually very clever about this. Until decrypted, every TrueCrypt partition consists of nothing more than random data. This, combined with the fact that hidden volumes are actually stored within your first / outer partition it should make it impossible to analyze whether other volumes / partitions exist.
See here for more information: http://www.truecrypt.org/docs/?s=hidden-volume
Thanks. Considering another hearing was scheduled after the court was informed that evidence was misrepresented I was assuming that it played a significant role in the courts decision. Maybe it's just a formality then...
'Embarrassing revelation' indeed. How in the world is it possible that a German court can impose a EU-wide ban in a trial that contained what is basically fabricated evidence? How did this slip past Samsung's lawyers ( I remember this whole thing blowing up at the hands of the tech media, no? ) Didn't the court do its own, independent, impartial research into the matter? Why didn't the court compare some physical devices as opposed to basing a decision with such far-reaching consequences on some printed pictures?! Can somebody who has studied the law explain to me the benefit of allowing plaintiffs to have command over which court they want to litigate in? It feels self-defeating.
After reading this I'm also surprised how the author of this article can possibly assess that, "there’s also Dusseldorf, Germany, where judges are proving themselves quick [and] competent" after this incident that demonstrate just how patently (!) incompetent they really are. But I guess this is just testimony to the fact that actual evidence and reason are tertiary in a justice system that can be defeated by cherry-picking courts that are friendly to whatever the litigator's cause. How can the public trust in a judiciary framework that functions with this total lack of precision and attention to detail.
On a different note, and I'm sure nobody really cares but since Düsseldorf is my hometown I'd like to point out that it is spelled with an umlaut. If for some reason you can't do that, how about spelling it Duesseldorf :) That's how it's done in German if you can't use the umlaut for any reason (url's etc.). Is it common to just leave out diacritics when dealing with foreign vocabulary in the english language ?
I must've emailed that to a 100 people by now. Thank you so much for this gem!
Thanks, shabble!
Wow impressive, glad you like the German language :) How do you read Bach though? Is there a notable German Bach other than the composer? What am I missing?
