Kinda weird/unexpected to see goose by block as a founding partner. I am aware of them but did not realize their importance when it comes to MCP.

Even if it is 10x cheaper and 2x worse it's going to eat up even more tokens spinning its wheels trying to implement things or squash bugs and you may end up spending more because of that. Or at least spending way more of your time.

I wasn't trying to be a hater, i think it is great they got funded for this. It just felt like there are so many free options and alternatives out there that are addressing basically the same things (and look almost exactly the same) it genuinely surprised me.

Alexa skills are 3rd party add-ons/plugins. Want to control your hue lights? add the phillips hue skill. I think claude skills in an alexa world would be like having to seed alexa with a bunch of context for it to remember how to turn my lights on and off or it will randomly attempt a bunch of incorrect ways of doing it until it gets lucky.

There are various areas where App Platform pricing is in your favor, including the initial getting started pricing for services on both the basic and pro plan, as well as the cost of databases as you scale beyond the cheapest plan on Render. App Platform supports custom domains today, but we do plan to roll out enhanced functionality around domain management very soon. Today we support pre/post-deploy jobs with cron job coming soon, as well as a persistent storage solution. Sorry, I think I misunderstood what you were saying there. Could you clarify a bit more about what kind of functionality you'd prefer we support in the scenario you described? A large influx of traffic hits your application while you are unavailable to handle it. If you do not have autoscaling enabled, your application performance could suffer, if you do have it enabled your bill could grow out of bounds. We do plan to let you set min and max bounds for autoscaling once it is implemented. Thanks for your help!

We feel that the additional features and capabilities offered by the platform including running scaled our dynamic workloads, workers, jobs, and databases - at a price point that is very competitive will provide you with value to make up for it - having these features just results in a different economic model for us.
