The daily and seemingly random price fluctuations of tickets are much larger than the cost of meals you'd save, basically noise.

Speaking as a non-american: From this article I have no clue what ICE was even doing. Detaining whom? For what reason? Without this information I cannot infer whether the protest is warranted or not
I think the important thing is only that you exhale longer than you inhale. Inhaling activates SNS, exhaling PNS, the latter is for relaxation. So the more you can tilt that ratio towards exhaling while still breathing comfortably the better
But you're still ruining other people's fun for selfish reasons. Why not find some fun activity that's not a zero sum game?
If you're busy you're probably already using public commuting time for reading books etc.
Reads like someone with a slavic native language
It's at the end of the article
Typing fast is incredibly useful for taking notes during meetings. If you can basically transcribe the conversation in real time, it helps a lot. Ofc you could record and run it through TTS, but that's overhead, gives you a messy huge textfile with lots of unnecessary information, and has privacy/legal issues
Your litmus test fails simply because John Carmack prefers Windows.
You're conflating sitting and bad posture. Sitting will have bad effects even if you sit straight
Is no one's bullshit detector going off reading this? Looking at table 2, the effect size is insanely huge.
My mom has a Kitchen Aid kettle. That shitty thing breaks all the time forcing my dad to replace some parts of the circuit. (And it's not the users' fault, it's a damn kettle, there's not much you can do wrong except maybe starting it empty which they don't do)
I mean it's literally getting better every time. People can start complaining when progress has stagnated.
I bet if Microsoft leaves anothe tech giant would be more than glad to provide some GPUs
"The best way to get what you want is to deserve it"
Berkshire Hathaway Energy said they would, from a financial point of view, never build a nuclear plant and keep increasing renewables. And they're not known to be bad capital allocators.
Just make it mandatory (basically tax) and remove all those garbage ticket systems, people checking the tickets etc... Getting rid of so much overhead
From his interviews it looks like he understands little about the technical details of ML, or about as much as anyone can learn in a few months
What makes you think that? He literally says he tries to understand things bottom up by knowing about every little detail that happens under the hood
GPT3 can't do math
Well, the consequence of what you're writing is that if you're somewhere in life where you don't want to be you're pretty much out of luck 'cause genes (a little exaggerated, probably more true for future dreams).
I see no problem here. He is buying a gold miner, so he is buying a business profiting off this weird desire for gold. You could basically say the same about chocolate: "People pay money to buy what is basically compressed sugar to then die from diabetes" (little exaggerated). Doesn't mean it's not profitable to own chocolate companies (as Buffett does)
If it is widely known, then there is no money to be made
I am disabled with Anxiety and Mood Disorder and chronic fatigue/depression. Typical "Bipolar" presentation. It runs in my family on my mothers side.
That sounds awfully familiar. Would you be so kind to provide any starting point to begin research into this, including the supplement stuff you mentioned afterwards?
Which is exactly why sober people in a drinking group are inherently suspicious.
Maybe because for most people intoxicating themselves around others who are intoxicated is an inherently pleasurable experience? You really think basically all cultures in the world have been drinking for the past 10000 years out of peer pressure?
Do you have a link?
That's stupid. Over the long shot, "being a week or a month late to the current pandemic" will be completely disastrous. We're lucky that the current pandemic kills mainly old people (more or less, let's gloss over permanently disabled people), but are you denying that it's just a matter of time until some virus comes along that lies in the sweet spot of infectiousness, mortality and/or permanent damage to the body?
Or as Ivan Karamasov said, 'One can only love strangers'
True, but life is also incredibly messy with a lot of useless relics and tons of bugs.
No, animals in the wild are not under constant stress, because that would completely nullify the effect of stress in the first place. Stress is a bodies' response to an 'unusual' situation, in which you have to act in an 'unusual' way. But the baseline that defines 'usual' and 'unusual' is the environment in which the animal evolved over thousands of years. In this environment their stress response is natural, e.g. spikes in case of danger or exceptional threat, otherwise normal.
If you now bring those in a completely new environment (factory farming), their stress levels go wild.
