Don`t want to be rude... but nothing beautiful is there. Very standard graphs.
Well, some bank are using "negative" interest for years. Its called "the annual fee".
It`s a new website? Am I missing something in this link?
2 slightly different things - working for a huge corporation - product innovation
I`m not sure what % of companies go there for funding and what % go there for fun and show. If you want $ for funding and you have something to show you have much better chances through private meetings with investors.
This is my personal opinion. This show might (only might) bring you a few users. However, I think it's a huge distraction.
you better build something quick :) to help all of us (independent developers)
you better focus on something enterprise oriented.
It's all here in Bay Area real estate!
It is like marriage without dating!
He is absolutely right. Shark Tank is a show. Startup is a business. If you are in showbiz and looking for fun you should go there. Otherwise focus on customers.
Amazon mobile is "just" started and does not have all Parse features, especially DB UI. Firebase is a DB in the cloud AFAIK. I`m trying a few thing for now and would wait a couple weeks to see different data points.
I hope we will see a lot of migrating tools and blogs

BTW, my estimation - 5000 :) Just a guess based on a buzz I hear.
Another interesting question could be "What is your estimation : how many startups applied for W14?".
Better why? The best value for not accepted application is the time you spent on formulation ideas in your head and trying to make it simple/clear/interesting and of course worth money.
Sure, try to finds twitter/facebook/blog/video/presentation activities. And do some research about discussed topic. Then your "cold" email will be much more "worm". foe example : "Hey Jeff, I read you latest blog about BART strike and I agree that we need to increase number on car-pool lines when something like that happens in Bay Area I made a simulation that it will decrease bla bla bla... " If "Jeff" answers, you will have an amazing chance for a personal conversation.

not interesting at all. The usual story of a huge online corporate organization. The only interesting fact is that the median employee tenure is a 1 year, 4 years at Microsoft and 6.4 at IBM
I am not sure that it is true. I think that linkedin is a the main job-search engine in Silicon Valley. Would be extremely interesting to get similar data from linkedin.
I am working on data sync service, mainly sync data between cloud and mobile. 30% of apps installed on my Android do data sync. This thing is killing battery.
Yep :) I have something similar. Very useful when you travel somewhere.
Are you using TaskKiller? I use it to monitor "suspicious" services on my Adnroid. That helped me to disable many "old" apps that just run-out my battery.
Depends on how are you using your phone and what applications you are running. Try to use G-maps and facebook for a couple of hours and your battery will be empty.
As usual, visual data presentation rocks. Interesting how 500st perform comparing to others accelerators/early stage investment funds.
very old
