Dude's blog is driving me nuts overall. No commenting, and the article about why iPhone is 3.5 inches the other day because "Galaxy S II" is too big to reach whole screen with your thumb... Yeah maybe for a child or small-bodied (non-American) woman, but I actually borrowed a friends to CHECK, and I can easily reach beyond every bit of the screen with one hand.
Ummm. Perhaps. Actually moved to and found my first job in China at a top company -- the reason I quit after 2.5 years even though no complaints about the job itself: salary, I thought I'm getting behind cause I can't save 3rd world salary for 1st world retirement one day + 1st world student loan debt.
I never in my life dreamed USA salaries after taxes are the same as what I was getting in China after Chinese taxes -- meanwhile living expenses are 10x (food) or the same (housing) or 100x (transport = need car here). What a mistake. (Warning to your college kids: don't believe this silicon valley hype that programmer salaries for fresh grads can be like 50-70k, I'm nowhere near it with 5 years experience)
To me the only turn off about India is the language issue. I assume too many people know English and it is a horrible environment to try to learn and use 100% Hindi.
Am I missing something?? If you can find people that prefer to view it on a sexy wooden background and can affiliate link them... WHY NOT? Amazon's pages are super busy.
Just curious why 2000 is the magic number? Just scratching the surface of that now with 5 years experience in IT post-college... middle America salaries are rough

Not suggesting you do the same, but in the 90's I was running adult sites making a bundle starting at age 15. All I needed was a checking account and PO Box, -- I'm pretty sure anyone making less than a million are so a year online is never going to stir up questions of any sort -- no one will ever know.

DD-WRT is good, set some filters on it and then enter a pass of random text. You'll think twice about all the effort of having to reflash it to get on those sites.
Doesn't work though since the real problem is stimulation addiction. As soon as I avoided porn for a few weeks I was seeking fresh web sites on my hobby (language learning) click click click filling up the same hours and accomplishing nothing productive by never studying anything in depth but just continuing the "hunt".

Develop your own alternate english alphabet and change all system fonts to a custom font that has that alphabet, it is a brutal learning curve to be reading fluently again... but I did this in highschool... can freely open news articles and read them, he can't tell the difference
