Maybe I am missing the point, but "loose" dependencies go in setup.py, and "exact versions" go in requirements.txt.

I think the site is great! One minor annoyance: the volume gets reset to about 75% when I close the player completely and re-open it (but not when I switch to a new album with the player still open). The problem with that is that it is too loud for my setup, and I end up having to lower it each time. It would be great if it could remember its last value.

This is more a comment on the video interview than the marcgayle.com post. I don't think Mr Calacanis' statements are incendiary. He explains eloquently what kind of people and attitude he is looking for, and doesn't seem to have a problem with people that don't match his requirements. I really don't see the problem with that.

Another question could be "why are we often being told that ideas are worthless?" IMHO it's because the focus should be on getting things done instead of sitting around while trying to come up with a "perfect" idea. This advice is valid in a specific situation that companies in stealth mode are just not in.

Well, I would remove the "professional experience" option. That's what confused me. Without it you still have 6 levels of granularity, that ought to be enough for anybody :)

Great idea, signed up right away. When setting up your account, selecting how much experience you have is a little confusing in my opinion: I have been a "professional" software developer for a few years, but still early in my career. Should I select "professional experience" or "little/some/average experience"?

Could someone explain the implications of both possible outcomes?
