So, I've found that a mix of VPS / Cloud is great for me.
I have VPSs with Ionos, they're cheap and for the rest its all over GCP, functions, scheduler, firestore, storage, CDN and Cloud run are convenient tools.
Namecheap for domains, feels reliable.
Maybe switching to Hetzner for VPS if I need bigger ones, feels reliable and good priced.
In which area wide-column database shines overall ? Is the licensing the same as Postgre and such ?
The post of Discord switching from Cassandra to Scylla was super interesting.
I don't know Go that much, but given you're a Go dev', why not using a "full-stack" framework to help your reach a better productivity ?
How much trafic do you have daily ?
I guess that you can also rent dedidacted servers or VPS and it will cut the bill by a lot, even on GCP or AWS, rent VMs with committed usage are not that expensive! It could also help with security and compliance.
How much load do you experience with your server(s) ? What is the worst part to deal with ? Why specifically Hetzner ? (I've seen their offerring, it seems great and machine are quite powerful for the price)
What do you think about their services overall ? Do they have serverless computin too ?
