I have to login and comment to express my disappointment with the bad reviews this movie has always gotten.

Rotten Tomatoes gives it a 56%, which is really sad. Here are two of the negative reviews.

Corliss:

   Most sci-fi movies offer escape, a holiday from homework, but Dune is as difficult as a final exam. You have to cram for it.

   This movie is a real mess, an incomprehensible, ugly, unstructured, pointless excursion into the murkier realms of one of the most confusing screenplays of all time.

What can I say? This movie deserves more recognition than a 56% score.

Interesting that DeSoto fails to mention why people seek out Uber. Kim seems to be focused on the medallions pricing structure completely ignoring user advantages such as ease of access through the app, reliable service, quality, etc, etc.

If cab companies don't realize that new services beat them to the punch in many areas besides pricing they won't survive.

Pages are generated on Github servers. As somebody mentioned you can run Jekyll locally to preview the rendered pages or simply push to github and review online.

My understanding is that traffic above 10M users will not be tracked by the free version of GA, but the service will continue working and recording visits. What 4chan will lose is information of all users above 10M, but will retain access to all the data.

I believe these emails from Google are phrased ambiguously to force upgrades.

There's no telling what will happen to bitcoins, but my point is, interest is no sign of value. Now if I could invest in cats, that would be a different story.

I think that's great advice and great way of giving feedback.

I see many valid points in your argument but at the same time I find myself more and more wanting to offload the responsibility of maintaining my tools to a 3rd party. The more online/subscription services I use the happier I am because I don't have to spend time installing and upgrading tools, archiving content, etc.

Some content I don't want to own (music, books, etc), some cloud services are open source (so they can live well beyond their creators) and some other services combine local and remote access (eg. github). As much as I want full control, I also want options.

This has the potential of being a serious competitor to Paypal. Amazon is on a roll.

Always amazes me how some posts like this one have zero comments in the blog itself but a dozen in HN.

This is the kind of behavior current political systems are encouraging to the members of our society. Instead of teachers reaching out to students to create bonds and personal connections, we have a system that promotes unjustified surveillance, profiling and reporting.

I'd suggest you invest in a hosted git repo.

My suggestion would be to look into a workaround inside of GA.

Eg: Create a new suite within GA (UA-XXXXX-2), and use the new ID for a subset of your page views. Look into how your page views are happening across your site and plan on distributing the analytics to fall under 10M. For instance, use your main ID for landing, top and trending pages and a second one for the rest of the site. If you are near or over 20M views you might want to consider a third or forth ID.

Edit: On a second thought, one of our sites reports over 10M a month and we never run into issues. GA doesn't process more than a small percentage of visits for the reporting, so your issue might not be related to the 10M cap.

At least 50% of the teenagers in this world who have access to products X and Y would mix them up if somebody told them that mixing X and Y will create an explosion.

That's the nature of being a teenager. As far as I'm concerned teenagers are showing more signs of mental health than adults these days.

Just have Facebook add a "Download as JPEG" button and let us all go back to more important things.

Completely agree. It's clear that they found a loophole in order to do something that twitter had no intentions of permitting.

It is very likely that a user would find these cards and inadvertently start a purchase without realizing that this actually not supported by twitter.

I find it shocking to hear that people get depressed by watching their friends have good times. How about enjoying it and feeling happy for their accomplishments and success?

I'm very sorry that you feel this way, but if you feel depressed for other peoples idealized lives, you have a problem that has nothing to do with your friends or Facebook.

A better marketing approach to this would have been to silently only accept VISA and never call attention to the fact that there is an arrangement behind the scenes.

Still pretty awful for your potential customers.
