we don’t know what to do, so we’re going to throw spaghetti at the wall
My opinion is that the money is in the verticals as the models and harnesses built around them become commodities. Specializing in a vertical, especially where hardware is involved, creates a buffer between companies and the frontier labs. The frontier labs are spreading themselves thin trying to capture verticals like finance or legal but aren’t narrow enough to be as competitive as a company that is going for a more targeted approach.

Funny, John Carmack was just admiring the creator of ffmpeg the other day for being a better programmer. https://x.com/id_aa_carmack/status/2064095424420487226?s=46
I read this book cover to cover after purchasing it with money, despite it being free online, and loved it. I think it’s pretty clear that the author was in a position where they could afford to put this out there for free. But not everyone is and I think people should be compensated for their time and efforts if that’s what they want.
what was the prompt for this, did you use a CAD/threejs skill or grab a model from somewhere?
I started to find this article interesting but every time I tapped “x” on an ad to dismiss it, no more than five seconds later, the same ad would appear at the bottom and distract me. Over and over.
I’m getting some serious Frank Grimes vibes here [1]. I think the slop is causing people to lose their minds because the cognitive dissonance they have seeing it proliferate while hating it so much.
Wow I cannot believe I’m seeing an applied category theorist role. Good for you guys.
Is this a passion project? If so, nicely done! If it’s meant to compete with other systems languages, is there a page or something that describes “why rux”?
thanks for this, seems like a fun channel
given their recent speech, I’m sure theyre trying
I’ve used AI to help me understand and build technical solutions but I draw the line at writing about it. If I can’t put it into my own words, I don’t understand it enough to share it with others. I don’t even use AI to spell check or suggest ways to organize my writing.
The part that’s not clear to me is, does the spec actually align with what’s been implemented, or has the spec only been formally verified. I think the risk with vibe coding this sort of thing is that claude assures you the rust code implements the spec when it doesn’t

this is just advocating for a harness, which has been the focus (along with evals) for at least the last three months by pretty much anyone working with agents professionally or seriously
