The occurrence of cellars is dependent more on the geography in the US. For example in Florida where the water table is very high, it makes little sense to dig a cellar since it would constantly have to be pumped out. However in the midwest and north east cellars are quite common.

Isn't that picture of helicopters? Do Russians somehow stage and fly helicopters in the US whereas we use OC-135s?
I wonder why they chose BugCrowd over the seemingly significantly cheaper HackerOne?
Is it that difficult for individuals to get approval? There are tons of small 1-3 branch banks in the US owned by individuals. I would expect it's on par with getting a liquor license or similar, background check and assets check.
Years ago I worked for a bank that was > 75 years old and had recently been bought by a guy who had immigrated to go to college and then in the next 20+ years done very well in construction. As far as I know there was more uproar over him changing the name of the bank than actually buying it.
Also I think the UK regulator pretty much lets anything go inside the City of London due to historical restrictions on enforcement and such.
It was for a bit more than 50M if you include the earn-out, almost 2x.
I don't understand what advantage this has over just doing: ssh -D8080 username@server.name
Also does spiped natively act as a socks proxy? I was under the impression all it did was handle an encrypted stream of data from one socket to another.
http://ipxcore.com/ssl/ has GlobalSign certs for $15/year or $42/year for a wildcard
What was your issue? I've contemplated consolidating all of my domains/certs with them and have no issues so far but maybe I'm missing something?
Yeah looking over it I don't see a single OkC employee, former or current on there.
Given it's easily parallelizable, assuming the cost of enumeration is significantly lower than other methods and the value of the data is high enough, how does that actually solve anything? All it does is requires someone to rent time on botnets or similar which doesn't seem like it would raise the cost a huge amount at scale.
+ can be a distinct email address, just as . can be an alias. It really depends on how your email server is configured. Postfix makes it really easy to adjust what character you use.
What form would the IRS require it to be filed as? I don't know of any industry/company that is required to file a monthly/daily 1099 for customers. Even the banks are only required to file that stuff yearly via a Schedule D.
It keeps phishing attacks from being able to cross services (since if you get a citibank email to your coinbase email that would be a big flag) and it reduces the attack surface on other sites.
I use email.site@domain.com for this purpose and it makes it handy to see who has somehow lost/disclosed my email to third parties and not informed me (FreshDirect for example)
The text of the page for those who can't see it:
Hello there, Mozilla Firefox user. Pardon this interruption of your OkCupid experience.
Mozilla’s new CEO, Brendan Eich, is an opponent of equal rights for gay couples. We would therefore prefer that our users not use Mozilla software to access OkCupid.
Politics is normally not the business of a website, and we all know there’s a lot more wrong with the world than misguided CEOs. So you might wonder why we’re asserting ourselves today. This is why: we’ve devoted the last ten years to bringing people—all people—together. If individuals like Mr. Eich had their way, then roughly 8% of the relationships we’ve worked so hard to bring about would be illegal. Equality for gay relationships is personally important to many of us here at OkCupid. But it’s professionally important to the entire company. OkCupid is for creating love. Those who seek to deny love and instead enforce misery, shame, and frustration are our enemies, and we wish them nothing but failure.
If you want to keep using Firefox, the link at the bottom will take you through to the site.
However, we urge you to consider different software for accessing OkCupid:
Thank you, OkCupid
Isn't that exactly what the command line client does when you verify a user?
The changes are all pretty well documented in their git repo.
It seems pretty backwards compared to any other sort of creation. If I build a house, my basis is how much I spent building it, not how much my neighbor's house is worth.
Did they also extend the time? It used to be 1 year and 1 day to qualify for long term capital gains treatment. Or 2 years from the date of the grant of incentive stock options.
The creators founded/exited SparkNotes and OkCupid. I don't think they are looking to be aqui-hired.
Why not? I haven't checked the license that Keybase publishes things under but even if it wasn't an approved open source license, how would that impact the security so long as everything was published?
Had Microsoft raised much funding before the IPO?
FreeBSD tries not to install much third party software with the default install. Everything is available in ports/pkg. The things included in the default install usually BSD licensed/BSD versions. Personally I prefer having third party software disassociated from the core operating system. For me at least, it makes tracking critical updates a lot easier.
What platforms doesn't make support? AFAIK GNU make supports pretty much everything and there are versions of make for Solaris/BSDs.
Do preliminary hearings tend to happen before plea bargains are offered? So if you are faced with 10 charges adding up to 500 years on jail, those have already been vetted by the court as having sufficient evidence and aren't just a scare tactic to get you to waive the trial?
Are IBM's US government contracts larger than all their foreign business?
Really? That's all the criteria for "worst persons to have ever lived"? That's a pretty low bar and seems like it would qualify pretty much every head of state ever.
What winners of the Nobel Peace Prize have been the "worst persons that have lived"?
Interesting, that's contrary to what I've heard from multiple sources (and pretty much all literature about the subject that I can find) about S-Corp distributions (again assuming you are being paid a market salary that you would hire someone at to perform similar tasks).
Isn't that only the case if you are paying yourself mainly via distributions? If you are paying yourself a market rate salary and taking any profits at the end of a good year via distributions would they frown on that? Assuming you have shareholders who don't work in the business (say family) I don't see how else you could distribute proceeds back to them.
