just as a thought experiment, say you're an entrepreneur, how would you solve this problem?

whether it AI, Data Centers, EVs...I'm seeing this problem more and more, we need more energy/power. I'm curious to see what others think are possible viable solutions.

He usually posts these brilliant explanations once or twice a year but nothing in 2025. I hope he finds the time to continue because the lessons are really really brilliantly told.

i've been looking at lists for a couple of days. lots of stuff out there and now i have analysis paralysis. was hoping someone would strongly suggest one and i'd be done with thinking about it :)

I've used Mixpanel before and do like it. From what I remember it wasn't as easy to get going as with GA script. You have to create each event you'd like to track, is that the case still?

Thats a good idea and mostly how I go about it now. Connections by citations just kind of dawned on me recently and thought i'd check to see if someone is doing it.

I started with the official Angular CLI (for Angular 2) back when it was still using system.js and it was painfully slow on a windows machine. I realised that 95% of what I needed the official CLI was for generating components/modules/pipes...etc. So over a weekend a friend and I wrote our own CLI tools that generate components and decided to use a simple webpack seed for our projects. Been using our own CLI ever since for (m)any Angular 2 projects.

I heard that the official CLI has gotten better but I don't have a reason to go down that route any more.

Thats not the impression I got from the tech team who have told me I've gone past the average wait time.

I wish these things are communicated better...and a month and a half to release an app is pretty ridiculous.

There are two different questions being asked here.

Is the number of polls getting out of hand? ... to me that's a no, they give a glimpse of the HN community which I find interesting

Are the polls a cheap way to get some karma? ... to me this is "quite possible" and I often wonder if the poll would be created in the first place if there was no promise of karma gain

We figure because we are a month old company it's quicker and cheaper to change it now than to go through lawyers. We don't really have any brand awareness and don't really want to take a chance with dealing with this down the road. It's just a pain in the arse

I think you are right, we are leaning towards changing the name. It is the least expensive route to take right now. Thanks for your input.

I'm just figuring it all out as I go for now. There are certainly more things I want to add and I'll try to do so as I get a better understanding of helpful features. Price drop is certainly something I'll consider in the near future.

This was a weekend thing so I can't wait till I have some more free time to tinker with it.
