This is very helpful to see, along with the gmass blog mentioned within. We've been going through this process for months and it's definitely a moving target with no clear path to resolution. The whole process feels a bit Kafkaesque.

I just finished this recently and would definitely recommend as well. It really made me question a lot of assumptions I had about humanity and history. For example it's really not obvious that the agricultural revolution should have ever taken place considering the challenges associated with changing from a proven system for survival.

This one very much! Never skip an opportunity to tell people they matter to you. Time and life is very fleeting

I'm not sure exactly what you mean by senior, but my title says I'm senior (6 years exp, 3 in this job). I would say I'm beyond reasonably happy. I found a good company with senior management I can believe in and co-workers who are strong technically and easy to work with. Although the industry, advertising, is no one's favorite, our mission is to make it suck less while supporting people who create real journalistic value which I can get behind.

Surprised none of the USB cables were a triumph

On iOS Safari you're limited to 2 parallel HTTP connections at a time so not a huge advantage to the multiple connections. Don't disagree with splitting it up though

I don't personally believe we're in a tech bubble like we saw in the late 90s. At worst the general public isn't at the same risk as we had with all the .com IPOs. There's a lot less liquidity which means that angels and VCs would take a much larger hit.

Yeah I agree it's an oversimplification. It's tough when writing a piece like this where a deep level of language knowledge is required to make a clear explanation. I tried to lead people toward the cause without getting bogged down in too many details.

I think what you describe is a great approach.

The reason I claimed it was a mistake for angularJS devs was that angular seed and yeoman lead to doing directory by type, which I think becomes a burden as an app scales.

A lot of things built in Angular aren't needed be SEO. When you do want it I recommend checking out https://prerender.io/

Yeah I think that's a fair point. It's easy enough to write a grunt or gulp task that does the copy. Not too hard to copy all the *.html files from the app directory. The time savings for development are worth it to me

Hey I'm the author of the article. I created a library of modules that were reused across single page apps. For individual libraries I agree it doesn't make sense, but not enough people take advantage of the module system

I actually think this idea is pretty great. I am currently in the market for a new chair, and have a specific style in mind, but have had trouble finding it just by going to stores. I also think browsing on Amazon is a terrible shopping experience. A simple place to find furniture from different retailers could be really useful.
