Nobody here is informed enough on the details to provide strategic advice.
I had something very similar happen to me, and am happy to share my learnings on managing health and emotions through this process.

The critique is the same for all papers and systematically impacts all estimates, so seeing more consistent results doesn't invalidate the criticism.
That said, it's quite possible the number of cases is undercounted! Someone should do a meta-analysis to obtain a better estimate, given the testing uncertainty.
Perhaps there are some genuinely curious and intellectually honest people who learn from interacting and experiencing with others.
Perhaps more.
As a former equity vol trader turned software engineer, my lessons:
* derivatives are a leaky abstraction. Understand how the underlying securities work all the way down
* read the docs!

Twine | Onsite | NYC or Bay Area | Data/Platform Engineer
Twine (https://twinelabs.com) builds people analytics software that helps companies make better decisions about the lives and careers of their employees. We’re changing HR the same way Salesforce did sales and Hubspot did marketing: we empower functional leaders with better data products and insights to create strategic value for their firms.
We're hiring a Data/Platform Engineer to create the enterprise-scale infrastructure that drives our business. This includes everything from designing data flows and ETL pipelines, to architecting our core data models and schemas, to building services and interfaces that deliver data to our product endpoints.
We’ve generated amazing traction and a product users love, but we’re still small - you’ll work directly with the early team and have full autonomy and leadership over your domain. Primary technologies include Airflow, Python, React/Redux, and growing for scale.

Twine | Full-Stack, Front-End | New York, NY | ONSITE | Salary $100k+ & Equity | http://twinelabs.com/
We're a YC company that recently raised several $MM from Fortune 500 CEOs and former heads of engineering at Square and Facebook. Now we're hiring our first 2 engineers.
Twine helps companies hire from within. Our predictive models find the best internal candidates, enabling firms to retain top talent and employees to find better career paths. Twine saves companies millions by addressing the #1 reason for employee turnover: lack of career development opportunities.
We're on Django/Postgres/AWS, with data pipeline and engine in Python/pandas/scikit-learn.
We're a thoughtful, scrappy, disciplined team. We value learning and continuous improvement, a culture of respect and honest feedback, and we take obsessive pride in our work and our employees. We value quiet, uninterrupted time to think deeply and solve hard problems well.
Would love to share more - if interested, please introduce yourself at jobs@twinelabs.com
Twine Labs | Senior Full-Stack Developer | New York, NY | ONSITE | $100-150k + equity | https://www.twinelabs.com
Twine helps people find jobs they love inside their companies. And we help companies keep their best employees by moving them to better-fitting positions. We're making internal labor markets more efficient with a predictive engine for employee success - we just closed a seed round with top NYC/SV investors and are growing quickly.
Our SaaS application is built and running in production for paying clients. We use Django/Postgres/AWS, including a custom-built data/ETL pipeline for processing jobs and employee data through our recommendation engine. This engine is built in Python and uses pandas/scikit-learn. Our front-end uses JavaScript and related frameworks, with some canvas and d3.js
These are senior positions at an early stage startup - you'll be the first engineers on the early team, aside from the CTO. You'll work directly with the founders and other early engineers to build products and features that help enable our business goal: driving internal hiring for our clients. You'll launch and customize the product for new customers, and you'll work on product experiments that move us closer to product-market fit.

Think of it as acquiring technical debt. Can help you grow faster, but need to monitor it carefully to prevent eventual trouble.

You should ideally have done this before, preferably in a Python framework. Experience implementing multi-tenant architectures and data visualization libraries a plus.

Intuitively it seems like you could approximate by weighting/combining 15min and 30min caches. But also seems like a very esoteric problem!
I'd be happy to donate some time or money towards migration.
At the moment, people are implicitly trading their personal data for services and convenience (communication, transportation, etc). Yet our data has value not just aggregated across millions of users and trained to sell ads; it has value to us as individuals: third party platforms can disappear, get hacked, act dishonestly, or change their business model.
There have been advances in systems that reclaim or duplicate ownership of third-party data back toward the user, personal API/quantified being the most recent. I think the missing link is not the technology, but rather a social movement that promotes the value of data access and ownership. This might be one silver lining to recent data breach and hacking scandals.
I've often thought recipes could benefit from a more structured representation. One idea I had was to recursively define a recipe as either:
A) a raw ingredient
B) a procedure (measurement [4 cups, 2 stalks, 3 pinches], reduction [slicing, dicing, julienne], combination [folding, mixing, blending], heating [sautee, fry, bake, roast]) on one or more recipes
It would be interesting to compare the resulting recipe "trees" across region, cuisine, chef, etc.
Last night at midnight I rented a zipcar with some friends, drove 30 minutes outside Philadelphia to a state park, lay down on the grass and watched shooting stars. Even in a region with significant light pollution [1], we saw clear and bright meteors every 2-3 minutes.
Coolest thing I've done in a long time. Definitely going on the fun-dad-activity-list for when I have kids.
