I get an additional speed in Linux and Linux appears to be honest in file copy operations than Windows, which appears clever. Windows based activities are no match in Linux, especially in setting up the system. I spent quite some time in finding the right location for .vimrc, so I can change some trivial behavior .

Get me block level (vit, cit ...) commands in ST2 and I will switch. They are done very well in Vim.

I use HP Pavilion for 2 years and X220, which works on Ubuntu 12.04. On HP, the hardware support for some key aspects keeps dwindling and that is a concern. I suspect the same with X220 (while updates, the Bluetooth driver site was not responding. I don't know if Bluetooth would continue to work.

I use a diary to maintain the tasks for any day. If the tasks are not done on that day, very rarely they are done in a single day, I write them on the next day's calendar page. I also write a small note below the previous page where I get the next thread.

I would like you to add a facility to let us see the linked web page on the right hand side.

It does not support Vim's wonderful vit, vat tools. Perhaps none supports like Vim. My fav for HTML/div editing.

Todo lists are a great utility for people like me who are obsessed with exploring ideas and forget rudimentary tasks like paying bills

The guide could be great, but the JavaScript based shell takes a life to open up and kills the experience. Why not use Linux on a Linux machine than a VM, JS shell etc? This makes it real hard to learn.

We have lived with the Windows and OSX aps looking the same but offering different functionality. Why can't web apps do that, and be more functional?

I personally swear by https://github.com/scrooloose/vimfiles.git installation. It doesn't go by some fancy name but does its work outstandingly. I have added to its vimrc wherever it deems fit. Thanks for the theme. Changed Zenburn with Tomorrow-Night-Bright and feels very good. Zenburn was not able to show visual selections in a proper color. Also, non printable characters were showing very bright. Problems solved with Tomorrow theme.

I have always preferred micro companies because of the freedom to drive the chiefdom from your humble developer positions. I remember an article about an Apple engineer developing first Mac to run on X86 architecture. This is an example of micro company that Apple has always been and I doubt any company, including Google, can match it.
