To put it plainly, in America, the value of Healthcare compared to the cost is shit.

Your beholden to your employment to keep it and if you work for a smaller company they usually have shittier plans leading to worse bargaining power. Also if that company is looking to cut costs they may choose even worse plans which you have ZERO control over.

Just because that's the way it is doesn't mean things couldn't improve.

"But I already have enough food so like this doesn't really apply to me "

I find it really hard to understand how people will continually go against their own self interests to align with their beliefs, without question.

Things can be different, things do change and we're not always right.

Data has shown we could all be spending considerably less on Healthcare with single player [1] and not be at the mercy of our employment for it... But it's still shunned because it's socialism or some other reason.

I'm not a developer mind you but devops. And while I reuse code regularly as well, when new projects come up, I'll ramp up with said boilerplate. Though thats typically in only required if it's something new.

I came to the realization that I'm using gpt more and more for getting my boilerplate code and I'm starting to feel a bit guilty about it tbh.

Maybe I shouldn't, though I justify it because it allows me to focus on the bespoke bits of whatever I'm doing...

Feels a bit double edged to me still.

Much of your point is how an artist chooses to spell their name is wrong and how you'd like to read it as correct.

I get it, it's a bit annoying but nothing worth the effort of squeezing.

One of them is completely natural and accepted in America and the other are boob's.

I feel like is nudity wasn't so taboo and sexualized it may not be that bad.

But I do realize there's a difference between erotica art like in the video and art that happens to contain nudity.

You're right, and this can be depreciated over it's useful life.

Not all r&d leads to something viable. So I'm guessing we'll see more of these capital assets being recorded as losses to reduce tax liability.

I'm begging to feel like the only way that'll ever have a chance to happen is if the show Designated Survivor becomes reality. Obviously many of the trash will be replaced by more trash but perhaps not all of it.

How long ago was this and have the machines changed over the years? Because this ice cream machine always broken seems like anew phenomenon compared to my tenure back around 97.

I was there for about a year IIRC, other than cleaning the machine "making ice cream" was dumping the premixed liquid into the top two compartments.

I'm glad you posted this info but this is where I'm stuck.

My mbp 2015 is the only Intel device I have Available and the main position died...so my only working position is windows and I'm running into issues getting into recovery. Even internet recovery wont work :/.

Hopping on the Samsung hate train.

Purchased a washer and dryer set when our old unit was shot and had multiple issues within two years. Also purchased an oven with a similar outcome.

Fortunately my tv is going strong ish. Had to have the mainboard replaced around 4-5 years and patiently waiting for the day it won't power on. The TV situation isn't as horrible with my only lasting gripe being hdmi-cec getting out of sync and only full power loss for 15-30+ minutes seems to fix it.

I'm avoiding their products like the plague after all this....

Their designs look great but... lipstick on a pig.

I began actively looking after the last review. I definitely should have started sooner.

Outside of this salary nonsense it's an overall good place to work though and a pretty cush job. Just frustrating that loyalty is punished because it can be.

I'm at least 20k underpaid and during our last review period I mentioned this and was told all salaries are being reviewed to get them inline an competitive.

It's been months and I received the same answer when I asked.

They're also actively hiring to expand our team and the upper end for the same role is 50k more than I'm currently getting.

When we hire someone new I'm definitely inquiring how much they're getting... It's unfortunate companies treat people this way.

I feel this. I don't reach the same level of drain after playing compared to work. However, it's such a fun way to use my brain in a similar way, I can be hard to put it down.

I also find it rewarding after getting robotics and memorizing recipes. Which allows me to focus more on designing (I suck so bad at it but it's fun).

After a good few hundred hours I moved on to krastorio2 + space exploration. It's so much more complex.

Oh and multiplayer is a great addition allowing me to asynchronously play with some friends /colleagues.

PSA - your comments are never going to stop people from posting or commenting.

This forum has many different personalities and perspectives. People with soft skills and people with almost none.

Work on the soft skills mate. No need to be so abrasive.

I feel troubled by this. Im still going to output. Trying to be efficient and look down the road to foresee issues/mitigate risk, but ill never be the same rockstar i used to be pouring blood sweat and tears into my work and reaping non of the benefits.

Its really hard to find a company that wont exploit their workers and I’m still looking. The saving grace being my ability to step away and be with my family or a quick doggy break really saves my mental faculties.

I feel like most younger people will perform better than older as they’ve yet to be jaded and exploited/abused nor do they typically (i assume) understand how to set boundaries professionally. Im not a master but im getting better on all my skills as i get older and that may mean i actually output less, depending on the circumstances/severity.

Definitely doesn’t have anything to do with all the unused commercial real estate.

I guess i cant really know that but might also be worth considering CEOs lie through their teeth and typically dont give a shit about the grunts.

Ive worked for many companies and seen people move into the role and go ‘total corpo’. ..and veteran ceos strip away employee benefits like quietly putting a ceiling of profit sharing while under the guise of ‘we added a base, so youll always get something :)’… this was also during a milestone of reaching 8bn in sales in <2yrs i want to say.

Will never trust the bullshit spewing from a CEOs mouth.

I second this. Played with a friend some 150hrs and eventually started a new game with more mods and crazier biter levels ultimately increasing complexity and build formulas.

It was so nerve wracking I felt like progress was so much slower due to all the fighting. After maybe 50 hrs in we realized the krastorio mod want being called correctly, so when we fixed that we learned all the new complex recipes were obsolete and all our defense were useless due to the restructuring of ammo types

So I guess my point is. Bitters have a time and place and I'm over them.

If the parts are made to fit the chaos and the design is reusable, what does it matter of the chaos is old?...unless say it's greatly worn and the integrity is impacted....but then you can buy a replacement part.

Their pricing on the 13 is fair for the components they offer. I'm not in the market for a new laptop, still rocking a 2015 mbp...but if I need a new one, I hope they're still around.

I totally get that, but it’s important to look who’s providing the information. I highly doubt the analysis was independent of bias.

We know many companies want to push for back to office work and commercial landlords are bag-holding hard…

Some food for thought.
