Thanks for sharing your experience. That is very interesting to hear.
Thank you for raising that point. I would love any recommendations you have to learn more about internal consumption shifts in the last decade.
I think it is worth mentioning how much more cheap capital is available for manufacturing. Chinese state policy—- monetary, fiscal, and social—- pushes up the savings rate, enormously lowering consumption, while restricting the range of consumer financial products. That puts more savings in state banks and keeps interest rates low.
Lot of smoking and drinking oneself to death in those generations.
Did you find Verapamil had any mood altering or cognitive properties for you? I take it for migraines. I think it makes me a little more emotionally stable but a tiny bit slower cognitively, especially in the mornings. It's a good trade off, especially in light of how it basically stopped my migraines, but it's one I have perceived.
Hey, I am a man who got work that is probably like what you are getting. Email is in bio if you want to talk a little.
I think you can destroy the environment with industrialization using different distributive glosses. The Soviet Union did it with a very diminished sense of private property and limited internal markets. I think sometimes it is capitalist ignoring of externalities and other times it is socialist ignoring of externalities.
I don't. I think it's great.
US government contracts account for 70%+ of SpaceX’s revenues through 2018. Can’t speculate about since. I like SpaceX but it’s just untrue that they weren’t highly dependent on US gov’t contracts for a long time (which itself is the product of space market liberalization by Obama in 2010).
Haven't been on a tour where you get to bust open the door to the House Chamber to prevent the lawful transfer of power.
Who do you see as a political prisoner in the United States?
What have you seen? I am really interested as a writer.
In American chattel slavery, women were kidnapped, stuffed into boats where malnourished strangers died around them, beaten, forced to change their names and religion, and raped. The children of those rapes were routinely sold at auction, and their parents would never see them again. If the children were caught secretly learning to read, they would be beaten. Income taxes are annoying, but they are not slavery.
the society you get by deciding that tired jocks with guns and a 2-4x of baseline rate of domestic violence and an unstoppable union should get to decide what due process is bad. law enforcers should have to follow the law. also I am willing to bet you don’t know much about due process because there is no way you’re an attorney but I’ll eat my shoe if you show me where you’re licensed to practice law.
The idea that drag shows mock trans women would surprise a lot of trans women drag performers. It’s not an unheard of position for trans women but it is not the norm.
I have 2 cats who are deaf and scream when they are anxious. They are very sweet but I could not sleep for 2 years. It was becoming intolerable. I started them on Fluoxetine (Prozac) and the problem has been reduced by 80%, I get at least 6 hours of sleep before one of them yells, and usually 7 or 8. They are happier and so am I. There is stigma about putting pets on psychiatric drugs and some vets are hesitant but I highly recommend it.
Who do you figure can’t be allowed to get deposed and by whom?
Madoff was politically well connected and it didn’t save him in the end. Donating money in one cycle will not save SBF. Your idea that Democratic electeds and regulators are consistently loyal (to anyone, including large one hit wonder donors) doesn’t square with my experience. If anything Dem politicos have an opportunity to show their independence by pursuing Senate hearings and similar public fora of investigation because they have nothing to lose going after this broke man.
That's really cool. I looked for one I could just buy for a couple years and never found anything like it. How did you find this?
Because of my RSI it feels a lot easier and healthier than using the built-in keyboard but I recognize that's not the case for everyone
Thank you very much! Glad to hear it.
I like nexstand! This is for being on flights and busses or in classrooms.
That makes sense. I would kill for a laptop with a split mechanical keyboard too!
Bitcoin is a tool for turning coal into evading CCP capital controls and financial repression, with the externalities of pollution and emboldening libertarians
Your advice is good, I agree that the most important thing is to be prepared for these smaller events. I would like to add an entry to your list of armageddons though. The indigenous people of the Americas had a pretty bad century after first contact.

I can’t tell if this is satire — can you clarify your point?
Which fact?
I worked in Dem political tech. The Russian Troll Farm/Cambridge Analytica/social ads scandal is mostly noise and no signal. But you’re missing something important: Russian state sponsored hackers spearfished and stole data from the RNC, DNC, and the Clinton circle. They deliberately released the latter two and withheld the first. Those releases don’t define the entire election, but they had a demonstrable and empirically validated impact on voters. Those deliberate and asymmetric releases probably changed the outcome of the election.
Russia really did interfere in that election and you’ve ignored this crucial fact.
I am not going to convince you that this was morally just, or that the actions of the commissioners was not racist. I am okay with that, so I will focus on leaving a record for anyone who stumbles on this unfortunate thread.
You do not have even the fundamental facts of the situation. "Lavonia County" is not a real place. Livonia is a city in Wayne County. There are some precincts where there are small gaps between the expected number of ballots and the actual number cast. This is typical, and its ubiquity reflected in the fact that statewide recounts reliably produce shifts in ballot counts on the order of ~100. The relative sizes and frequency of these gaps is actually larger in Livonia than in Detroit. These gaps do not demonstrate partisan lean, nor do they evidence voter fraud. Voter fraud is extremely uncommon, it does not shift the outcome of state-wide elections, and it does not demonstrate reliable partisan lean: there are dishonest people of all political stripes.
In spite of these facts, the commissioners asked to certify the results of Livonia and the rest of Wayne County, excluding Detroit. My position is that disenfranchising Detroit is immoral, racist, and a brazen attempt to subvert our electoral system.
If choosing to certify the more proportionately anomalous Livonia and not Detroit, disenfranchising hundreds of thousands of Black voters while accepting White voters, is not a form of racism, I don’t know what is. I don’t throw the word around lightly, but it is the right one in this context. I realize you’re unlikely to agree.
