I am so tired of reading AI generated/assisted articles with AI speak in them.

Reads like a human, and then the more you read, the AI-fluff appears. Not X, Y blah blah blah.

You could have human written it with your words in half the words. Been more authentic.

I use Handy everyday. It’s a great project. Thank you for making offline ASR work great on modern machine.

Codex server is open source. You can connect many clients to it. There is open code, pi.dev and many other harnesses.

Claude Code is the major closed source coding harness, uses private apis. Anthropic punishes you if you use another api.

IMO Anthropic is not a company that wants a flourishing AI ecosystem.

Man. I wish they didn’t use AI to write an article about AI slop.

“The honest truth … worth naming”.

“But the bottleneck was never the code. It was always the human attention”

Perhaps this is human audit over a first AI draft. But had enough AI speak that it puts it off.

Just write like a human with human mistakes. That’s okay.

The precedent that comes to mind for me is semiconductor chips,” Ezell told me. From 1990 to 2020, he pointed out, China’s share of the global market increased substantially, compelling the U.S. government to pass the CHIPS Act — a 2022 package of incentives for manufacturers that allowed the industry to rebound. “We saved ourselves,” Ezell went on. “And I think something like that is the only thing that saves Detroit — Congress wakes up and realizes we’re about to lose this industry.”

Why save Dinosaurs that don’t want to evolve?

At some point have one of this big companies die and funding the newer players like Rivian, Lucid, Slate, Tesla is a better move.

Big 3 has a series of poor decisions over decades. Let them pay for their decisions.

The message of article was great, but I wish it was written by a human.

Yeah we are on track to get to a point where Earth heating up is irreversible before Artificial super intelligence can come to aid to solve it. In fact, our datacenter buildout using gas and coal as primary energy makes this worse.

I think about Fermi Paradox a lot. The tragedy of commons when it comes to capitalism may very well one of the reasons why Dinosaurs may have a longer species lifespan than Homosapiens.

The change happens too slowly, but reversal takes global coordination which humans as a species aren't great at. Especially when anyone not coordinating may be economically advantaged.

It's just assumed that we need to make models bigger to get more out of them. That is from observation, no one has actually distilled different kinds of intelligences from an LLM to say this is the minimal model size needed for this kind of problem.

Examples: Databases scale with data stored in them. It's a linear relationship. We have databases that load pages on demand as needed and keep hot ones in cache.

There is no 'database page' alternative for LLM's yet. Someday there will be and the paradigm shift will happen.

Local 100 tok/s+ is a gamechanger for sure.

I really appreciate the writing style. It’s human written. A breath of fresh air in an ocean of AI slop.

This is v cool.

When I did my microcontroller class with lecturer hand drawing an 8-bit computer, the registers, memory, instructions on the white board, it was v cool to understand how things worked under the hood.

Wondered if someone could make more simulations for what was being taught. Teaching is about deciphering a thing into it's components and seeing how they interact. Vibe coded simulations are a great tool for that.

It has tell-tale signs. Not X, Y. Two X, One Y.

The way it does it headings and each paragraph neatly chunked. Fancy words, lengthy explanations that don’t add any meaning.

Someone wanted to write a long lesser and feel good.

A shorter human written one would be better.

Will checkout Shellular.

Used paseo.sh which has Mac and iPhone app. Open source and works with many agents.

Also used Codex Relay App. That was nice but only works with one host.

Shellular plan to have a Mac app in the future?

In general, I think a great UI for coding agents that works across devices and remote boxes is god send.

It's not the only thing but it helps. Kamala was being praised for raising almost a billion dollars. The dems spent more money in presidential elections than republicans.

Where money goes further is being able to get attention. If the performance on TV, ads, roadshows is stronger than the other candidate you win.

Politics so so much about showmanship.

Elon with his Nazi salute even though many perceived as negative, it got him lots of attention in Media to be talk of town.

One thing going for Trump is he understands entertainment and attention. Positive or negative, he is center stage in news.

For all the millions that Marc and Ben Andreesen spent lobbying for Trump saying "Biden will control who gets to use AI and small players don't have a chance".

Oh the Irony!

Anyone serious about the future should see the writing on the wall. We shouldn't give too much power to the government or the billionaires.

May the open weight/open source models win the future.

Tesla given $60M by Obama admin when they were deep in debt and may have gone out of business.

so Tesla technically is subsidized by US govt. SpaceX too. Without NASA funding, they'd be long out of business.

China and US ain't that different.

China realizes that being a tech and industrial powerhouse working on future tech is great for their economy. They bet huge on it. That's how they win.

Europe on the other hand is now a laggard.

I wish this was human written and not AI slop.

While the core arguments stand, there's little actual nutrients in the article.

I spend hours per day with codex and claude. Almost every LLM is using each other's training data. There's a ton of AI slop out there already now feeding into training data. They all sound the same.

You are right! My honest take, The customer who did X wasnt Y, it was Z.

In early 2025, this was novelty, now it's annoying.

Eric Schmidt made billions, probably 10s of billions from Google becoming an AI behemoth. The young graduates who can't find a job, will likely not be able to afford a median home in their 20-30s due to their debt growing faster than earnings. It is a stark difference.

"You have the power to shape AI" - So many empty words spoken!

I wish the thoughts weren’t AI slop.

The point of rust was to be low level, and take entire classes if use after free and double free bugs out using strict compiler enforcement.

That is a biiiiiiiiiig deal. So yeah that is why Zig is inadequate as the project scales.
