Foreigner in/out of kharkiv here, this is a nice project, but also is very ambitious — as the amount of the IT turned volunteer/military is insanely huge. Applaud any project trying to capture even a fragment of Ukraine's civic society.

WordPress market share alone (within the open web) speaks to GPL as having been a good or great choice (but not a negative one).

I think you answered your own question, the familiarity for users (seo & content) which is "end-to-end no-code" is massive (especially once extended with user-facing plugins). And you're not even speaking about making the move to Gutenberg yet. Just too much value there.

Great product that might get lost because of overthinking the business model (say that even as a fellow Swiss). Think the giga-opportunity here is for a chrome extension, releasing it for free or freemium won't interfere with your patent (and if you don't, someone else will, regardless of the legal aspects). Either way, congratulations on this innovation, it's elegant.

I don't understand the need for additional SMB website builders (as the use-case described says "company") — problems I see:

- Squarespace/Shopify may seem like "website builders", but the bigger play is to manage parts of online business (transactions, reservations, point of sale, etc.), and ultimately everything. "Website builder" is just an entry point.

- Online presences need to manage multiple web properties (i.e. a restaurant = yelp, tripadvisor, facebook, etc.). And lets be real, a restaurant can just redirect their domain to whatever the hottest social platform is (chances are it's going to load faster).

- Websites aren't the only channel anymore.

Website builders are commoditised imho, and have no value as a pure tool.
