DDD strikes me the software version of Agile sometimes. The ideas and philosophy behind are good, but ends up being taken as a silver bullet. If you do this you will have a good architecture and your software will be well architected. Especially in the .NET world i've seen DDD being branded together with CQRS as "Clean Architecture" which in reality turns out to be a mess of layers and separations.

I map it the same way to caps lock and experience exactly the same you describe. I noticed after the last patch a few weeks ago it went away for now. Been driving me nuts until.

Plenty of these systems have caught some focus the past year. A different question might be - why do developers not say no to work on this type of software?

Worth noting, this landed a patch that moves some of the UI work to Core Animation on MacOS[1]. More work will happen that builds on top of this, but some reports in that ticket are promising already.

I don't use Teams but would assume so. My Pi hole captures a lot of other Microsoft telemetry, including VS Code related (though that seems to handle it fine).

I recently did a small setup on my Synology consisting of a simple script that:

- Tars folders I want to backup

- Encrypts using GnuPG

- Uploads encrypted files to S3 (Glacier).

Simple and cheap cloud backup for me + nothing had to be installed on my NAS except for docker to run GnuPG and AWS CLI in containers.

Been really happy with the new Brave so far. Made me able to drop my the last Google application on my computer.

Only thing that bugs me is still having to resort to either Firefox or Safari on mac when on battery, since Brave keeps the dedicated GPU in use after navigating to anything that activates it (a Brave Helper process seems to keep it active in the background).

I still prefer Tower as my daily driver, but SoureTree has great interactive rebase support which Tower, unfortunately, does not
