Looks like there's a free [0] version of teams that supports unlimited search, unlimited app integrations and meetings of up to 100 attendees. Compare to free [1] slack that has limitations of 10k searchable messages, 10 app integrations and only 1-1 meetings

I tried out hyperlogs and don't really see that it provides any features over existing timesheet entering solutions yet. It looks good so far and I'll be interested to see how you progress.

I disagree that it's more streamlined though. toggl's killer feature is the ability to switch between tasks with 1 click as I'm performing the work. For mine this is the big distinction between an after-the-fact timesheet data entry app like hyperlogs and an actual time-tracking app like toggl.

The majority of my interaction with toggl is via the desktop app and chrome plugin, any competitor without these integrations is a non-starter.

How does this compare to toggl [0]?

Was pretty cool to be able to leave your phone at home and still have full 3g coverage, especially when out running/cycling/surfing. Opera mini browser was sufficient for looking things up on the go.

Like others have mentioned, Tizen is a hot mess though. In the end the lack of a spotify app was the main pain point for me. Apple will do well to fill that gap.

That does sound annoying, IIS (non-express) seems to not have this issue though. Agree with debugging and tweaking though, my largest complaint is that you can't edit methods that contain lambda expressions.

I'm confused, the whole point of EaC is to not have to stop the debugger? I would hazard a guess you're not debugging on iis, as detaching a debugger certainly doesn't stop the webserver.

Apple aren't the only ones that have been innovating in this space. For example, the terribly named Samsung Ativ Book 9 Plus has a ~20% higher pixel density than MBPs.

I dunno, I must have a different usage pattern to a lot of people here, but I've used tools such as git/ruby/node/telnet/etc across Windows(conEmu + bash)/Linux/OSX and don't really have a strong preference for any OS in this regard. I get that there are differences, and maybe I'm just lucky and haven't seemed to hit these issues that make Windows so horrible for a lot of devs.

You know it is possible to use windows without a mouse? I make a living cutting .net code in Visual Studio sans toolbars/designer windows, we're not all as inept as this thread makes us out to be. Not sure if you're being sarcastic or not, but many unix tools have been ported to windows.

Microsoft sell direct to consumer[1]. Every consumer electronics store I walk into has a bunch of Apple gear sitting on store shelves also.
