Yes - you'll need to login at mailflo.io. We haven't added that functionality to the browser extension. Do note that deleting a project would not delete the associated emails and labels.

Just email us at support@mailflo.io if you need help.

We love what you're doing with your product.

GrexIt was built to help teams collaborate around email threads for customer support. Overall, we make it very easy to assign/track an email thread and move it through a very light workflow. Our focus would be on building on this, and bringing in more functionality for the customer support use-case.

You guys are doing some awesome stuff on Streak!

Hi, I'm Niraj, Founder, Mailflo. Answers to your questions below:

1. How it works is answered in detail here: https://mailflo.io/help#underthehood. Essentially, we use a browser extension to add labels in Gmail, and use our backend to sync labels across Gmail accounts over IMAP. Its based on what we built for our other product GrexIt (http://grexit.com), which is a very popular tool for Gmail.

It needs full IMAP access. And IMAP is enough for Mailflo to work. We do not use any unofficial or Google specific API.

2. Is it free: For now. And we'll always have a free plan. Very similar to what we have done for GrexIt.

3. It works great with multiple accounts (both with 'plain' Gmail and Google Apps accounts). The key motivation for us was to let teams collaborate on customer support by assigning tasks and looking at who is doing what.

Glad that you find it useful. Do try it out and let us know if you need any help.

This is way simpler to use. With Mailflo, an email thread is a unit that you work around - by assigning it to a teammate, and by tracking its status. Thats how email customer support works in most cases.

We have been using Mailflo to do customer support for our other product GrexIt for a few weeks, and we know how effective this approach is. Do try it out.

Gmail API 12 years ago

We (http://grexit.com) let users share Gmail labels. We're very happy to see this release as it has been a pain to build and scale our service over IMAP.

It'd be interesting to see what kind of limits (no. of calls, concurrency etc.) that Google has put on the API. Has anyone trying this out hit of any of these issues yet?

IMAP, with enhancements like:

1. threaded email conversations supported natively

2. folders treated as gmail-like labels (essentially, tags)

3. advanced search and saved search queries supported natively

Also, an implementation better than Gmail's which does not have arbitrary limits on bandwidth/data used and number of connections.

The app is definitely useful for people who listen to twitter for marketing/customer support purposes. Your target user is probably someone who is using Tweetdeck or Hootsuite, rather than a casual user.

But then, both Tweetdeck and Hootsuite have similar functionality available. And they are very popular among prosumers and people who use Twitter for their work.

Probably the way to go for you guys would be to allow building some kind of custom search folders for Twitter, which people can then share. You can become a site where people come to discover the most interesting content from Twitter, curated by the people using the tools that you already have built.

Hope that makes sense.

This is a wide open space, and I think a tool like this definitely adds a lot of value to engagement on e-commerce sites. Everytime I've bought an item on eBay, I've had questions for the seller, and getting the answers quickly on chat would definitely have helped me a lot. From what I understand, that is exactly the use-case that Gaglers is targeting.

We have a good way of doing that with our product GrexIt (http://grexit.com) - GrexIt helps you share Gmail labels. So you can just address an email to who you want it to address it to, and add a Gmail label to it to share it with a set of people. They get the email in their inboxes cleanly filed under the corresponding label.

I understand where you are coming from, and that is one of the biggest challenges for us. We really feel that with an email centric approach, we can help companies which want to do light-weight collaboration, and are fine with trading off very rich functionality for a simple email centric workflow.

Do look at our reviews on the Google Apps marketplace - we have quite a few companies as paying customers now: http://www.google.com/enterprise/marketplace/viewListing?pro...

We named our product GrexIt long before someone started using the term for Greece's eurozone exit. Look for our coverage in TNW, RWW and GigaOm in March to june last year, which was before the term was coined.

If anything, the term has only hurt us by badly polluting our analytics.

I don't mean to say that email as it is will get us to a very elegant solution for something like group project management. What I'd like to see is that if email + some addons/enhancement can get us to solving 80% of the project management problem.

Thanks. There's a lot of useful stuff that the tool does:

- When you've added a discussion once to GrexIt, it will automatically keep track of any follow-up emails that you might receive on the discussion after you added it to GrexIt, and pulls them in automatically.

- If two people in your company are discussing something, GrexIt will not allow BOTH of you to add the discussion to GrexIt - so it takes care of duplication of content.

- Controlling access is very easy. Its closely tied to to our content organization feature and is very intuitive.

Would be great if you can try it out if you're on Google Apps.

Thanks. Currently it relies on labels that the user applies on the discussion in their inbox, but we're extending Fetch Rules to be sensitive to conditions similar to what you define in a gmail label, and more. (like, whenever a certain person discusses anything with a person from a specific domain or not from a specific domain, fetch the discussion)

Great.

I think that with GrexIt, the value bring is:

- you can add a discussion to grexit with a button press.

- we replicate the discussion before it was added to grexit accurately in grexit along with all attachments

- we track follow-up emails on a discussion added to grexit automatically.

- inside grexit you can organize the content using shared label which are like email.

- Google apps users can just use their Google accounts to access grexit

- we are coming out with group based access controls soon which will let you control who sees what.
