If you're unsure about spending the time to learn Zig, I really recommend watching the following interview with the creator of Zig https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iqddnwKF8HQ convinced me more than any design doc or blogpost could
Why would anyone think that it would get linearly worse? What's the (wrong) assumption there?
I like MAGIC CARPET "Maritime Augmented Guidance with Integrated Controls for Carrier Approach and Recovery Precision Enabling Technologies"
Great software. Especially the "lettermod" feature. It allows you to configure a key to switch to a layer / secondary actions if held for some time, but only if no other key was pressed within some time before. So secondary key actions don't happen while the user is actively typing a text. This makes it very easy to add homerow mods (adding Ctrl, Alt, etc to the homerow keys) without the struggle of accidently triggering them.
yes but https://aimilios.bearblog.dev/reverse-engineering-sleep-mask... reads like they connected to MQTT and received data from IOT devices on there, not using BLE
Can someone explain the other iot devices using the same broker? I tried cross referencing the feature list, information about the user base, kickstarter origin and flutter app with some search results and I’m pretty sure that I found the company and product in question. But they don’t (publicly) produce iot devices? Sooo I’m wondering if different companies are streaming their data into a shared sink and why they would do that?
Not mine. Was already posted on here, but the last time it got traction was a couple of years back.
I think the randomness is addicting. While writing a prompt often doesn't result in the perfect outcome, it very well could. Pressing the "prompt lever" (again and again), waiting for the result to show up looks a lot like gambling.
See "Variable Ratio Schedule" https://www.simplypsychology.org/schedules-of-reinforcement....
Alright let’s put that article into eleven labs to hear it as an ai audiobook on 2x speed while doing chores. Gotta optimize bro
I know nothing about photography, but i really enjoyed your work. Especially the line scan cable car and „ 1390 Market Street“. Thanks for sharing.
But that’s half the fun (and knowledge about these systems got me my current job)
Building websites which only work on the "www" subdomain should also be a crime.
I don’t think so, but it’s getting harder to flash custom ROMs (locked bootloaders) and there are even legislations in planning which would make it illegal (at least in the eu).
It’s already cumbersome to run your banking app (and other „required“ apps) on a custom ROM with all the attestation going on. I assume these distributions will bleed users and see a reduction in new ones due to higher entry barriers.

The difference between posting an image url without and with a random string in the url.
Blue line is successful requests (people viewing the image I posted), green are unsuccessful requests (people trying to find other files).
Second blue bump is the screenshot with a randomized „hard“ to guess url. First bump the default iOS screenshot name in the url.
only got the working on chrome desktop https://files.nilsherzig.com/screenshots/2025-0831-105623-64...
I should really add some enumeration protection to these image sharing urls haha
Does not render properly on iOS mobile (iOS 26 beta) https://files.nilsherzig.com/IMG_9236.PNG
Loving the interactive visualizations. Reminded me of https://kelseyc18.github.io/kademlia_vis
Can someone recommend a collection of similar pages?
I'm certain that Google would turn their users into resurrected brain-dead meat computers if that would improve their quarterly profits
Feels good to be the one who rejects prompts haha
ChatGPT got a new (I could not find anything about it online) tool under the name `ecosystem_demo.flashcards`. Might indicate future plans to include more interactive elements beside text.
Seeing everyone trying to come up with an idea and participating is way more fun
Couple ideas (can’t test them now):
They list guns.lol as one of their projects. Looks like a linktree type of personal website hosting service. Some traffic might come from that network of pages, but if that would be the case I would expect google to have indexed their claim links by now. Same thing goes for the captcha service they are running.
They also have a cracked version of a Minecraft cheat client on GitHub. It’s very common to use residential proxies while cheating (or cracking Minecraft accounts), so that might be another option (obviously not for all of the IPs). Someone should scan the IPs claimed by them for common proxy ports.
Might be a good idea to run their claims through a geoip db, even tho they are pretty spread out over different subnets, there still might be a correlation there (like mostly Spanish speaking countries or something like that).
Looks like the gameserver provides some more insights at /statusz, notably there a basically no „image claims“. So it would have to be iframes or script src requests (?).
Might also be fun to monitor your local network for requests to ipv4.games, I will set a notification with my firewall and report back :).
I know you’re joking but at least Putin would be pissed
Read some more and honestly idk what to feel. Seems very sad from the outside, but I guess in a lot of cases it’s an improvement over the previous situation of the person?
https://www.reddit.com/r/ChatGPT/comments/1mkae1l/comment/n7...
Looks like they are accurately bringing it back because of it
This is actually real, there are a LOT of people over hat r/ChatGPT and I’m told TikTok who have some serious withdrawal symptoms. Apparently they liked to get their egos stroked all the time and can’t comprehend writing with a chatbot which acts a bit more differentiated.
A assume OpenAI knew about this and calculated the amount of money it costed them to have a lot of people befriend their 4o model…
So a hallucination would have been if it made up a new row?
What about the „9.9 / 9.11“ example?
It’s unclear to me where to draw the line between skill issue and hallucination. I image that one influences the other?
In my own usage I’ve not spotted a single hallucination yet
Did you ask it to format the table a couple paragraphs above this claim after writing about hallucinations? Because I would classify the sorting mistake as one
